@later,

call wintelcom or brightpoint. have u tried using n7650? u have to use it for u to feel/know it. same with T68. i observe your a nokia user, no prob with that but as per VWB, you have to clear your preferences.

if you have time, go to hub or any telecom business centers, try mo lahat, ask them for comments (well good luck). feel the phone, try sending sms/mms. take some pics then think, then buy. good luck

medyo off-topic ka dude... re:Panasonic GD88
looks pretty nice... 65,000+ colors, great specs for the cam (110,000-pixels), polytones (16 tones only, but thats ok)... still no BT though...

Well, sobra talaga yung presyong iyon. I bought my T68i last November and it cost me almost 20,000 pesos. Wala pang kahit anong accesories dahil pag bumili me ng bagong communicam ng T68i, well, mas mahal pa iyon sa Nokia 7650. I bought this thing of mine sa Globe HUB sa G4. Well, if you want to have a nice, warrantied cellphone, go to places such that to ensure high quality and satisfying performances of the cellphones.

Joms: Sorry for not answering you sooner man but I've been away and haven't been to the board in ages. Anyway, here's the latest.

I went to the SMART Wireless Center Area and asked around if anybody could upgrade my phone. After hours and many stalls later I found somebody who could do it for me. He led me to the second floor of Virra Mall and into Supertech(?) and for 1.5 and an hour later I had my i in hand.

The people at Supertech (I'm an idiot for not remembering the exact name, I know.) were nice enough to warn me that they've had complaints of upgrade jobs that hung up on the MMS or that had sending SMS problems. But I was determined to get my i, so here I am and happy to say, NO PROBLEMS whatsoever.(So far...)

If you want my advice, I paid 10,400 for my Grey T68mc (I can't stand the gold one.) and 1.5k for the upgrade. Total cost, 11,900 for a T68i. That's about 6k (give or take) less than a brand new, non-gh T68i.

You cannot argue the math. So go for it people.

And Joms, I'll try to get the exact location and name of the store this weekend. I apologize for my poor memory, again, I'm an idiot.

what SW version did they use on your phone dude? i could have referred you somewhere else to get the upgrade... 1 thou lang... mas malapit pa. pero congrats na rin.

@maestro

nabili mo yang t68i mo for P20,000? dun pa lang mas mahal na yun sa 7650 kapag may communicam (P7,500 sa semicon) baka konti na lang may P800 ka na

Im planning to get the t68i sa Ghills, saan ba pinak okay na stall bumili? with warranty?

Posted by masterjericho
well, nde ako sa GH bumili eh

try mo sa ayala greenbelt sa telecom centers dun (gray market) above wellcom. i bought my cell there with 1 yr service warranty though ala silang pang fw upgrade =(

tingnan mo na lang kung meron pa... its selling like hotcakes.

Posted by nookiehunter
if you can get it cheap AND with warranty, that'a a winner...

Posted by techboy69
Masterjericho ung binili mo bang t68i na-confirm mo na sa service center kung me warranty talaga? I had the xperience of buying one fr sm southmall (not semicon) and they told me me waranty. When i checked at se service center sabi nila galing hk daw un,ala waranty. :-(

Posted by masterjericho
@techboy

@dlreyes
tell me tom where i can get some cheap accessories ok? already have the fm handsfree, data cable and cam... how bout a desktop charger or holster...

Posted by kaishakunin
Yes, I'd like some cheap acessories as well... MCA 25 would be nice. I'll even settle for something secondhand.

Posted by dlreyes
Ok, just a tip if you're looking for a cheap hoster or belt clip... get one that is suited for the Nokia 8850/8890 series.

Posted by nookiehunter
@dlreyes
i have a couple of those... one from my dad's 8890 and one from my previous 8850... it doesnt fit well.. baka magasgasan yung sides... im quite protective of my "mineral grace"

Posted by dlreyes
I'm using an HHC-4 beltclip/holster intended for the Nokia 8850/90... it has a better fit than the ICT-13... there is a tendency for the ICT-13 to scratch the T68 but not the HHC-4. I've been using it since Oct. 2001... more than a year now.

@dlreyes

i think mas ok yung ict-14, ito gamit ko ngayon, but this is the limited version of sony ericsson, yung gray ang color, not like the one sold at semicon

Posted by tammygsd
i have a t68i kaso i lost the cd,balak ko bumili ng data cable meron bang program that i can use para makapag upload ako ng pics and tones sa t68i ko..please help me..

Posted by Jowi
Tamy-just buy an ir adaptor nstead of a data cable.if u hv fnshd instalng d drvrs 4d ir,detected agad sa my comp ung t68 mo.no nd 2 instal adtnl softwrs

Posted by masterjericho
@randy

how much mo nabili yung ict-14 mo? saka san?

Posted by Jowi
Master,avlbl ict14 sa semicon.its cheaper than gray markets

Posted by randyrivera
walang available nagyon na ict-14 sa semicon (in pres time), try mo nalang silang tawagan, it's ok to buy ict-14 in the gray market since la naman talagang 1 year warranty ang mga casing

Posted by GOwin
@tammygsd
try buying a data cable from Ying. He sells modified service cables and it comes with a CD full of programs (freeware) from SE and others (ie float's mobile agent and christersson's)

Posted by airevolt
ict 14 400 plus lang dati semicon

Posted by GOwin
Most likely, the warranty. But no one's forcing you to get it from here.

Posted by kapitan jackal
@dennis,

pards i insist you check the phone for sale thread. ok ah, multi multiple post

semicon peeps, any news sa HPR-20 (di na ako magtatanong sa P800)? also sa ICT -13? im looking for 3pcs. ICT-13! ayoko sa iba, ripp -off!

phase out na ang T68 upgraded to i

Posted by baste07
nakabili friend ko T68 upgraded to i sa GH, 11.5k ang benta

Posted by randyrivera
swerte nung mga nakabili ng mc to i. nakamura na ng 9K, pwede pa iupgrade ngayon

Posted by baste07
yeah!!! go t68mc!!! can i ask what's the best SW for t68mc?

Posted by randyrivera
@baste

R6A sa smartnet, P450 lang, you don't have to worry about your settings and phonebook kasi everything will be retained after upgrading, sabi ng SESS naka hold daw yung R6A, pero works fine with me. siguro wala lang silang version ng ganun.

Posted by ynohtna
from all the postings here, what i got is to know what version your t68 is you just have to look at the back of the phone if it is a i,mc,or ie.may nagsabi naman na "ie" with chinese characters on the keypad.just bought my t68i (not in GH) which is indicated at the back of the phone but with chinese characters on the alphaneumeric keypad.so is my phone t68i or what (just an upgrade)?
the SW is R5C and ive been using it for a week now extensively (globe and smart).so far so very good. stable software pa rin.all the connections work (infra red, mms - smart prepaid and postpaid,and bluetooth ( with another t68m upgraded to i and a nokia 7650)).
I will just upgrade the software once i experience the bugs kung mayroon.
Now, from Semicon, their latest software is R5D.With SESS, it is R6A.So guys,any recommendations of where to go between the two?
Both charge P500 for software upgrade for open line SE units.
Definitely, with heavy usage, an ugrade is in the works.
Any info or enlightenment would be of great help.
