My question is: What SE phone can be compared with Nokia N95 regarding functionality? (Included the future releases of SE phones)
I can not see P990i does the job, nor the M600i as I have. I like to know because SE is my first choice......but I will not wait "forever".
Important for me is: GPS, Wi-Fi, 5++ MP camera, HSDPA, audio/video out (and size of course)

There is none, and there will be none. SE will always be inferior to Nokia's top offering

None yet, but just wait and see what
offer very soon Posted by masseur
I suspect this was a loaded question with an already known answer so I guess we can't be too serious about it
I'm even tempted to try out the N95 to see what the hype is about. Mind you last time I did that with the 8800 I was very dissapointed but I guess at least the N95 does have a good spec and not just a pretty face

Personally the N95 is just another buggy N-series.
I prefer the E90.
I hope SE start taking on these type of phones.

And just when did you acquire these magical powers to see into the future?

Hi Masseur,
I would advise checking out a N95 but with two provisions one don't use the GPS absolutely pointless IMO. If you intend extensive Data entry get a Nokia Bluetooth keyboard. Other than that I reckon S60 3rd Edition FP1 and the Safari web browser plus the speed you will get with your T-Mobile Data Sim will blow your mind. I still prefer my N93 but not 100% sure you would like it's size although it has a much better keypad IMO. Remember the N93 is actually the same size as the TyTN as i had them side by side for comparison. Only thing to warn you though is once you see and use S60 you may never look at UIQ again. I know its a big step but one i have found to be very worthwhile.

Why do you say that? Is it because of the map data (if so, what town, country have you used it), or was the GPS hardware?
Thanks,
W.

I would like to see what Masseur has to say 'bout it

I have 2 phones... one with uiq3 and other with s60 3d edition. Its dificult to say who i like more. Both have pros and cons. I think UIQ3 is slower, more buggy and less stable than S60 3d edition at the moment, but i love the touch screen and the user interface of uiq3 phones.

@Waka
My reason for this opinion is quite simple
a) Built in GPS is inferior in both power and sensitivity both important factors in a GPS receiver.
b) Tom Tom 6 is the class leader in Sat Nav mapping and directions it has no equal as is relatively cheap and simple to install
c) The built GPS in the N95 will not work with 3rd party software you will need to use Nokia's free maps but there chargeable voice directions and i very much doubt they will be as good as TT6.
With my set up i don't use Traffic updates and the speed camera databases can be found all over the web for free so have no running costs besides charging the GPS battery.

You say it is hard to decide and that UIQ is slower less stable and buggy for now, it's already 7 months how much longer are you going to wait for ever? The only plus is touchscreen which if you can't live without is the price you have to pay to have it. When i decided to leave UIQ the lack of touchscreen was what concerned me most. 8 months later i haven't looked back despite having a M600 and TyTN but that's just me and what i have found, not saying it's right for you or everyone.

Currently there is NOTHING (rumor or otherwise) from SE that can match N95. So I dont see what is the point of this thread??
