I have just signed into MSN.com using my W950i and have been able to send messages using their new windows live beta. i also have access to mail and other services!
I don't think i'll be purchasing IM+ afterall!

do you mean mobile.live.com? I've been using that for a while now
not bad but the messenger beta needs a bit more work

mobile.live.com was first mentioned on Esato a few months ago but I only started using it actively this month

it actually solves a more recent problem of hotmail on your mobile as i am sure i have read a thread about that! don't know how i missed that one!
I don't know if you wanna leave this open or not then! suppose it could be useful for those like myself!!
