ALL KASHMIRIS ON ESATO, PLEASE UNITE HERE. BRING OTHER KASHMIRIS ALSO.
Post anything about KASHMIR. Problems about mobiles, network related problems, broadband, etc.
Also share your experiences about the above areas.
I want kashmiris to develop and rise above the average, forget the hello tune fuss, sms fuss, that they are used to, and concentrate on high-end technologies that the world is benefiting from, in today's world. Now there is no place for those who move at snails pace, the world belongs to those who think at the speed of light. So guys and gals, buck up, and prepare yourself for the tomorrow.
OTHERS :-
All, without any distinction, are invited to post here, but please make it a point that it should be related to techniques for technological upliftment in this part of the world. The technological backwardness of this place can be gauged from the fact that airtel has not even started airtel live in this part of the country, whileas others enjoy edge and god knows what else.
PROSPECTIVE VISITORS :-
Anyone who wants to come to kashmir can post about it and will definitely get help regarding itinerary etc. Best of luck.

Hmmm... Nice attempt.. But since you prefer to write about tech.. Then the title should have read as technology in kashmir..
All the luck.

Sorry dude. Don't have a cam phone. Just a barebone nokia 6030.
I'm in my lawn enjoying snow. Thinking how beautiful it is, just like paradise (true to the last word).
Posted by aatuif
10 inches of snow already accumulated in Greater Srinagar and more falling. What a beautiful scene. I wish you were here.
Posted by aatuif
I'll post some photographs in a few days so that you'll have a first hand experience.
The world famous Gulmarg is under 4 to 5 feet of snow. Whileas the upper reaches are under 8 to 10 feet of snow.

@aatuif786 u mean to say airtel live is not available there? than how do u use free net trick?
and its good that airtel has launched airtel live there its a useless service
Rs15 for wallpaper
Rs15 ringtone
Rs50 videos
games from Rs50-100

@dheeraj. Check PM.
2 ft. snow.
Check back soon for amazing scenic photographs.

@Deeraj...4get Airtel live...my B'bay prepaid sim with PAID MO didn't even receive ne network, when I was there last year...apperently they don't allow prepaid from newhere in India, there.
But it is beautiful indeed...got a lot of snow in Gulmurg.
Have a look but, 4give my late crapy p910i camera quality:
...outside my hotel room in gulmurg
This 1 4m the gandola...check out the horses stable, partially covered in snow...
And the ski track at the upper parts of gulmarg.
This is how the highest peak of gulmurg looked like...no wonder it was closed 4 tourists in May '06
M planning on another trip in August this year & will remember 2 take a Post paid sim & a good Digital camera

Thanks has33 for your photographs. You did me proud. I owe a lot to you.
Hope you are very much enjoying your visit, especially the snow. You are always welcome.
Thanks once again.

Look closely, the name Tim Chong is ghosted on each one.
And what wonderful photos they are too. My favourites are the sunset and the one of the pilgrim.
What a beautiful country!
