Spinvox? Ahhh noooooooo!

That used to haunt me at The Link, it was one of our big sellers and we all just wished and hoped and eventually it went away lol. It used to be crap and over charged you, but I'm hoping they've improved the service times and acuracy.

There are various options and various cost implications....Ping me.

And you cant get Tom Tom but there are other Sat Nav apps that would work.

Ta da!

I just got a Curve 8310!!

£15/month, 12 month contract, Unlimited BB and Unlimited Internet through the BB Browser, FREE 8310 and FREE Jabra BT5020.

I'm a VERY happy bunny now

Just need to wait for the sim to be activated. It's a business contract so it might take up to 48 hours I think.

I'll let everyone know the new PIN when it's working

Posted by PeterKay
thats not a bad deal mate, wish voda could do that???

Posted by Daedalus85
It's a business customer deal rather than consumer. On the same tariff as a consumer it would have been £79.99, but business customers for some reason get it free

Didn't find out until this morning, and then I thought, this is too good to not get lol.

Posted by PeterKay
you jammy bugger

thats a cracking price

Posted by Daedalus85
Is isn't it?

Rather pleased if I do say so myself, and it's lovely too, still getting used to the tiny keys though, but everyone I spoke to said get a Curve, tmag included, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Lets hope I like it

Posted by PeterKay
You will enjoy it with so many other BB users here, i'm just waiting for a good deal from voda and then get a BB myself soon hopefully

Posted by Nanu
f$#k me!!

That same deal online charges £165+VAT

Is it deffo 12mths free BB @ £15???

Posted by PeterKay
too good to be true, but seems true

Posted by Daedalus85
That's all correct, £15/month, 12 month contract, BB Unlimited (stand alone, so no calls or texts, it's a data only sim) and a free 8310.

Seems daft cause it's £180 and the BB is worth more than that

How can I resist???

Hmmm maybe I'll get my arse down to O2 tomorrow!

This would be perfick for you PK!!

Anyone get any jip from the sales staff, PIN me and I'll call them. SME (Small to Medium Enterprises), which to you and me means 'new business connection' is their top priority right now, next to the iPhone, so they'll be chomping at the bit to get one off you hopefully. But v.few sales staff are aware of the offer I got, so might be worth making sure they fully understand before signing, after all, their only human, bless them

New PIN is:

2537EDD7

Posted by Nanu
They ain't got the Pink Pearl yet though have they?

may just pop in meself tomorrow at lunch.

Posted by Daedalus85
Haven't got the pink Pearl just yet, but its coming soon

Also, one more thing to mention, if they insist the phone is £79.99, get them to scan it through the till on the BUSINESS BB Unlimited rather than the normal one, and the price will stay at 0

That means i will have to mail you several times to remind you

^ talking of O2 tills, are they still the W@anker ones or whatever they were? they used to cause me great amusement!

Posted by jcwhite_uk
Quick question. Work is getting Blackberry enterprise server on thursday. It is being supplied by Vodafone as are the blackberrys for the users. Would it be possible for me to connect to the work BES using my T-Mobile contract if I activated Blacberry on my account?

Posted by scottt
So anyone can get this business deal? I could walk in to a shop today and walk out with the same deal?

Posted by tmagberry
Just to confirm, my local O2 shop had the Pearls on for free for the Business Tariff.....

not anyone, staff only i think.

Posted by bearcub24
I was offered this deal at my local O2 shop when I went to upgrade recently and I'm not a business user, bear in mind that this tariff is data only, no calls. In the end I got the BB 8120 free on a £20/month contract with a BB PAYU tariff, expecting to upgrade to the BB unlimited tariff but my usage has not warranted it.

Posted by Daedalus85
It's not to staff, but it IS only if you can confirm your a sole trader (hell, make it up and say you sell buckets for a living!), partnership, LTD or PLC etc.

And you'll have to get them to check first, because not all of them are aware of it. I tried it yesterday and voila, it worked, so it'll work in the other stores too.

And their @nker (anker) tills, not W@nker lol

Posted by bearcub24
I take it that its the data only deal? I was offered it but I needed a voice package too, otherwise its a cracking deal, Orange and T-mobile offer similar data only deals but not as competative and not widely know just how cheaply you can get a BB tariff.

Posted by Daedalus85
Yes, it's data only, it's the BB Unlimited stand alone tariff.

I had a look at what Orange and T-Mobile could do actually, and even went in and asked them, and it was pitiful, even on Business.

Posted by bearcub24
Is it the pearl 8120 you've got? I'm finding the battery life on mine fantastic, its reading fully charged in about 50mins and then seems to last about 4 days with moderate usage. Never really took much notice of BB's in the past but I'm delighted with this one.

I got asked for VAT Reg and Company Registration Details.

Posted by bearcub24
Mmm thats strange because they were going to put me on this tariff no questions..until I found out there was no voice calls included.

Posted by tmagberry
Either way, doesnt bother me, but just saying what i was told.

Posted by Daedalus85
bearcub24: you weren't asked all of that because your not on a business tariff, you got offered a deal when you renegotiated your contract, and thus the retentions team offered you something above and beyond everyone else, or different at least. So for the purposes of the discussion regarding this £15 business tariff, your deal is not the same deal

As for ID, depends on the business,

I'm guessing tmag has an LTD or PLC, hence the ID asked for.

As my business is a partnership, I just had to provide a letter headed paper and personal ID.

Sole traders need the same too I believe.

@ tbag...

your a sole trader.. you don't need to be VAT registered if your turnover is less than £64k per annum, and as your a sole trader you don't need to be a registered company, you don't even need to have a company name on your bank statement....

Just tell them your a web designer

Turnover is over £64k but i was just quoting the man (boy) at o2

Posted by fatreg
you're errrrrmmmm missing the point here tbag.....

you ARE a sole trader.. get it? just like I AM tooo (even though I work for a company)

Posted by Nanu
Last time I had a Business contract with O2 they didn't ask for diddly squat! as it was all done over the phone!

If I get a chance to go in today though I'll take my company chequebook some ID and an invoice made out to my company, that should do the trick!

I am pretty sure the answer is no, but i may be proved wrong. The reasoning behind this is because the BES Server is on Vodafone and will incorporate the Vodafone Users.

I can check it out for you if you wish ?

Posted by jcwhite_uk
Cheers Tmag. It would be useful if you could check for us.
Thanks.

Posted by Daedalus85
So did anybody get one of these on the business deal in the end?

Posted by bearcub24
Can't see the point personally as it means carrying two devices if the BB is not voice enabled.
