Official Warning - Mr Zootzoot,

I notice that you are putting BB down - again I think you are a closet BB user and really you dont like the Pearl cos it makes you look like a girl!

Tip to quickly enter tours, then type my pin as one word click to accept what you type, and click on space and it will replace, same with my number as well.

I think I look Very cool with a Pearl!

Man this browser is incredible!

Best site for help is www.blackberryforums.com/

All of a sudden that Tribe Called Quest song jumped in my head!

Posted by Burgaz
I would just like to thank Tmagberry for helping me with the software upgrade on my 8700... Top man talked me through it all without a hitch!

Posted by fairygirl1
So thats what he was doing when he was pretending to be busy?

Limitations of BlackBerry Connect my friend. Think about it. 10 email accounts & full PIN to PIN with devices like the E90 with BB Connect on them? Do you think RIM would servive very long in the hardware market if they DID give those features out?!

LOL I remember seeing that on MadTV for the first time.

Hilarious.

here is a question for you blackberry users.

when I see blackberry users on my frequent flights, why is it that they use the BB for checking email etc and yet revert to a standard phone for making and receiving calls? almost always I see BB business men doing it this way

Posted by Berry
Masseur - You can use the BB with just data for unlimited browser, email and therefore not making calls and texts...

Also often the BB is given as an alternative to the Laptop...and therefore is barred from in/out going calls

Posted by masseur
fair enough, it just seemed strange given that BB devices are these days looking more like normal phones

So how many other Pearl users here?
Imo the pearly is the only decent handset they have.

Posted by Berry
The Pearl is nice but its not the 8700....aside of the camera...there isnt much bwetween them....maybe when the 8820 is out, then i might change my mind but QWERTY rules over Sure Type....

nah,8700 is the one to have. i did win a pearl last week, but will probably just sell it as i love the 8700

Posted by Berry
All you ever do it win stuff - atleast win something decent

....Win an 8800 will you

Posted by dicky
well i sell blackberrys at work, and when you sell a certain amount RIM send you a free one,its a promo theyre doing last month/this month

Posted by Berry
Have you played with the 8800 yet? I had one in my hands at the weekend. Its nice, but still prefer the 8700....something about that trackball...heard a few keep falling out

Posted by dicky
yeah, played with one a few weeks ago, very nice but still prefer my 8700

Posted by Berry
Yeah agreed there matey....Although using an unlocked 8700v on O2...just like the silver...

Also just for those interested Telstra's OS 4.1.351 has some good tweaks, like ability to "Turn Off BB Data" and just have the Phone and SMS as well as other little things...

Anyone want this to test, let me know

Posted by Burgaz

Just tried to use the media manager on my BB desktop manager and i find out it's only for BBs with ver 4.2 software...

The only downside to the 8700 is the lack of file transfer options!

Posted by Berry
Yeah, Pearl Upwards....still email them mate...Crackberry.com seems to have some ideas on that....

i like the sure type as i can type one handed, as ive got small hands...

Posted by Prom1
Well at work, I have the ability to remove the phone application of any user on the BES! Thus sms is gone as well as phone calls! I can also restrict install of non approved apos!

Quality of phone calls is incredible on thhe Pearl! MicroSD card is able as well, the 8700 doesn't.

Just to update this thread... Incase anyone was wondering where all the BB chat has gone... It's all going on over at www.crackberry.com Crack addicts only!

Posted by alrodlop35
Not really a BlackBerry addict (or user, for that matter) so I won't even bother going to that other forum.
Just have a quick question:
My mom has an 8700g and it drives me insane that I can't get it to vibe and ring AT THE SAME TIME. (My MOTO C115 can't do it either) This is very disappointing for such an otherwise lovable device. I'm just wondering if I'm missing out on something or RIM people have gone insane.

Posted by fatreg
RIM have gone insane as you put it...

you can have it so it vibes for 2 vibes then rings..

Posted by alrodlop35
Not cool, not cool at all. Still like the fact that you can make it ignore the profile for certain callers.

Ok i quite fancy a pearl until the iPhone is obtainable but i know nothing about blackberry, how does the push email thing work? I pay £30 per month for 500 txt and 200 minutes on o2 how much more would i need to pay to be able to use a blackberry? I'm so confused lol. I only have a .mac email is it worth getting? Not a clue where to start.

£10 a month for unlimited data i believe...

you will also have a BB email if you do it.. like MissC@o2email.co.uk....

but yes it works with .mac... you saw my replies to you last night on email didn't you?

Sent from my blackberry!

basically... your phone is always connected to your mail box, so as soon as a mail comes into your mail box it arrives on your phone, there's not much else to say, other than I'd be gutted if i didn't have BB anymore.. I love it!

Posted by haynesycop
£10 hmm tmag said £15 oh well thing is i pay £30 on contract and i'll have to pay that on top, decisions decisions and you can't seem to get sim free white pearls, im very tempted but don't know why lol.

Posted by fatreg
you wanna be cool like me and tmag that's why! hehe..

nah.. sim free BB's are well hard to find..

tmag might be able to sort you out though...

oh.. sure he told me £10... I pay £8 for 30mb (god bless orange!)

if you had a BB you could PIN message tmag and me all day long!! hehe

Posted by haynesycop
Sod it i'll get one lol but is unlimited data really UNLIMITED? I ain't going to get buggered with a huge bill lol.

Posted by fatreg
i think it's capped at 100mb a month but you really can't use that on a phone!

I can't do 30mb and I'm on msn all day at work!!

Posted by haynesycop
God i don't think i use that on my laptop so all is good, thanks for that.

Posted by fatreg
no worries!

how you getting one?

upgrading or summat?

Posted by haynesycop
Buying one i think upgrade isn't until November so going to get something expensive and flog it to get money for a sim free iPhone, just fancy something different and that white pearl is loverly!

Posted by fatreg
fair play..

can't blame you the pearl is wicked...

i can upgrade but there is nothing i want!

grrr

Posted by haynesycop
Get something for wifey hehehehe?

Posted by fatreg
if you were on Orange....

but you not be!!

Posted by Nanu

Posted by Nanu

*slams door on way out*

Posted by fatreg
