Might have to order me one then!!
I've just got BBweather working on my phone! It's Great!
Now if only i could get on the bb web site...
Posted by Berry
Burgaz - if you are considering Colorware, then atleast look at a Vaja. They are great cases.
Or a Pouch....(i know where you can get these).
And the BB skins are good but i have never been a fan because i think they come off too easy.

I pinched this from crackberry.com
1 - Click on the new BBWeather icon.
2 - Since no locations are set up yet, you'll receive an error that there are no profiles set up, just click OK with the trackball.
3 - Press the trackball (NOT the Menu button) and click Options.
4 - Press the Menu key and click Add.
5 - For all US locations, use the zip code for the Location. Use this for zip codes you don't know, or for non-US zip codes:
ASP.NET Resources - Determine location ID for the weather server control
6 - Enter a description name (i.e., LA, Orlando, New York).
7 - You can keep the Forecast Days at 5, or increase it up to 10 days.
8 - If you would like the temp displayed in Fahrenheit, leave the Units as 'Standard'. For Celsius, change it to 'Metric'.
9 - Click OK to save.

Burgaz is going all BB on us....

GET IN!
Colorware will do my BB, but they need to send it to a US address after it's been done..
anyone know anyone they trust to receive a BB and forward it on?
Posted by Berry
I do.
But it would be a beatch to send on....and costly...
Posted by fatreg
how costly is costly?
Posted by Nanu
Posted by fatreg
what has 2 fighting stags got to do with the price of fish Nanu?
Posted by Nanu
Erm. . . . . .
"Big Bucks" Reg?
Posted by fatreg
can't be anymore than like $40 surely?
and seeing as though it's only £50 to get the thing painted..
think I might be BB-less for a few weeks! wooo
Posted by Nanu
Are you for real?
£70 to change the colour of your Curve??
Humbrol modelling pots are only £3.50 each in the local warcraft shop and you'd do it with one pot!
Posted by fatreg
ermm Pearl Nanu, Pearl..
and yes I'm for real!
I'm sure humbrol don't do 3 different shades of pink in the warcraft shop?
Posted by Nanu
They did 5, not including "flesh" but have discontinued 2!
Pearl, yes sorry I stand corrected!
Posted by fatreg
hmm last time I painted something I ruined it..
I'd rather just pay and let someone else do it...
Posted by Burgaz
I thought that might happen... The US address thingy... Ah well reg. ya stuck with red.
I'm gonna buy me a rubber case... or i might just splash out and get a Vaja!!! Lime Green of course!!

8310 Is a Curve with GPS and has a camera
8800 Is better looking but hasnt got a Camera and some people dont like the keyboard.
They are both full QWERTY and great.
I would assess if you need a camera or not.

* Indeed on the camera!
And to mix it up just a bit more ...
8320 - BB that has Camera, WiFi, no internal GPS chip.
8820 - BB that has WiFi, GPS chip, no internal Camera.
Note all 8800 series BB's you don't have to remove the battery itself to change the MicroSD card (with sizes of 4GB its hard to see why anyone would very frequently). However you still have to remove the battery cover. Only the newer 8130/8120's have external MicroSD card access.

id pick the 8800, but thats because i dont need the camera, plus i think its better looking...
infact thats what i am doing once i can find one...im sure ill have LOTS of questions once i get it

Out of curiousity ... what do you have set in your BB's Options> TCP for the APN? is it blank?
I'd say close the app entirely, powercycle your BB ... double check your city's code for weather location once again. double check it online at the weathernetwork.com & also weather.com just to be certain the code is the same.
I'll do a little more digging to see what I can find.

First Ten Things You Should Do With Your New BlackBerry
1. Unpack it all, and just sit and look at the 'wonder' of BlackBerry for about five minutes
2. Delete unused languages, pictures, remove sample video - get rid of things you won't be using
3. Adjust Backlight Brightness
4. Adjust Trackball Sensitivity (default is 70, I like my horizontal/vertical at 80)
5. Set Speed Dial Preferences
6. Hide/Rearrange Shortcuts for most efficient use
7. Install CrackBerry.com Desktop Launcher (go to http://wap.crackberry.com on your berry's web browser for that)
8. Get Opera Mini, Facebook App, Viigo, Google Maps, desired IM apps, BBSmart Email Viewer or Empower HMTL Viewer, get apps apps apps! App availability/usage may depend on your carrier.
9. Buy a Case, Bluetooth Device and MEMORY CARD
10. Load up your Berry with Ringtones , Wallpapers, Themes, Games and Movies!

MAke sure you have Blackberry Data enabled via T Mobile or whoever you are with. Without it you can do little.
Then get BB Messenger open and add a few people from here so you can ask questions - you will want to have access to that...
Then we can all bombard you .
Also i would strongly recommend a Rex Regina Pouch to protect your BB. Of course this can be bought from me!

By the way - New Viigo Version 2.2.82 is out and got some coolio features...
http://getviigo.com
If its still showing the .70 verison on download, just refresh BB Browser page.

yup t-mobile have been told and its all active within 24hours. so i cant wait.
will post my pin up as soon as i get it.
nanu, thanks for the tips. some reason i never saw that when flicking though crackberry?

I'd say 11 MOST IMPORTANT things to do ....
Step 2 would be bumped in favor of adjusting the memory usuage of the Picture memory & also the audio/video (I forget the other storage item that was identified by users BEFORE RIM made a technical documentation about it - to prevent memory leak issues on the Pearl & 8800).

In messenger BB Key>Add Contact>scroll up to use once>BB Key>Request by pin
et voila!

ah that makes more sence...
still no idea why i havnt got marcs or zootzoots request though?
Posted by Nanu
You don't need them anyway!
Posted by Berry
Put the PIN in the PIN Field.
Alternatively add by email address however, you cant then send PIN to PIN message - which are like emails
