Add Contact from BBM then scroll up to USE ONCE and press Menu sign to get ADD PIN and enter it.

Shortcuts: Phone - Options - General Options - Dial from Home Screen to OFF and save.

Posted by Burgaz
Anyone know where' i can find a list of the keyboard short cuts? Or does some one want to post one?

Also if i change my theme does it bugger up my profile settings? I've had a few nokias that do that but can't remember if the BBs do it too?

Posted by tmagberry
I will send you the link for the shortcuts.

As for the theme - this will not change the profiles (Sounds Settings)

L Theme!!

Does any one have an app like the ones most phones seem to have that converts weights and distances and things into different units?

I want one.

OK so you're OS failed to update or it DID and everything went down the tubes?

* WiFi ... purge out your existing settings, ensure MAC Filtering on the WiFi Router is not a factor (if so RE-ADD ur 8120's MAC Address).
* Setup your WiFi settings from scratch; including the default browser.
* Messenger? Which one? GoogleTalk, MSN, Yahoo, AOL, or BB Messenger?
* Check the PINs to ensure their accurate or have NOT changed on the end user.

Lets start with this and work our way from there.

ah BB messneger is all sorted now! the OS upgrade did that, but wifi is still not playing game.. checked mac filtering on my router.. I think it's to do with the WPA2 Key i use. not sure my 8120 has the ability to do WPA2?

Oh it does, & should be able to.
check in Manage Connections> WiFi Options should be in or around there.

Ok so i see on the BB web site that there are a few games that are free to download using you BB browser... As mine doesn't seem to like the bb website is there another way i can download the free stuff from bb...?

Maybe using Opera or something?

i want to buy a gold housing off ebay... but need the logo part in gold as the housing doesn't come with one....
any ideas where i can get one from... please see pic of what i need...

thanks

Posted by tmagberry
Unless its an OEM housing or faceplate be carefull becuase they are badly made.

The screen will come off easily.

You also cannot get (very easily) the bit you need and the back battery plate is a b*tch to find too.

Gold Spray Paint might be good.

Dope Wars found:
Jad file link: http://download10.getjar.com/[....]b/pub/4947/dopeWarsZX00650.jad
Jar file Link: http://download10.getjar.com/[....]b/pub/4947/dopeWarsZX00650.jar

These are compatible with the BB models.
Note: this is not where I got the one for my OLD Pearl model. I cannot seem to find where my backup is.

here is a question for you blackberry users.

when I see blackberry users on my frequent flights, why is it that they use the BB for checking email etc and yet revert to a standard phone for making and receiving calls? almost always I see BB business men doing it this way

I thought that this was a good question not entirely answered before.

Usually company's will ship a HH for their employees; and not allow any phone calls on it unless in case of emergency's. So employees will already have a personal phone for personal calls. Also note that some users had a business mobile phone & a pager. This pager was first replaced by the Blackberry and then eventually employees may have their business phone line transfered to the same account as their blackberry's.

Blackberrys have incredible voice quality. Low or extremely low signal strength can be challenging at times but not always.
