Hi, just wanted to know, do all BB phones' display turn on and off when they are in or taken out of their pouches respectively? what about other brands?

All BB's will do this when an official BB pouch or similar with magnet is used.
Other brands ? not sure if its even thought of let along practiced.

Thanks, well it's a great feature, quite ingenious... Others should follow suit, if they already aren't.

@shelly open the program let it load and fail press back so gives you screen to type a message, press menu go to perfferences or configure which ever one it is, I have mine set to automatic but some people have it on TCP give that a try,

Anyone tried the beta for BBM 5.0. It is awesome, contacts on homescreen and barcode recognition are just 2 of the great new features

Bit of advice from the BlackBerry experts needed please
I`m trying to set up email on my wife's bold i followed the advice from o2 and start on this page
http://www.o2email.co.uk/
After entering my pin and imei number and agreeing to their terms and conditions i get the following message
"The Blackberry device is not registered with your wireless service provider.
Please register this device and verify that the URL of the current website matches the one provided by your wireless provider."
In the application list on your device Click settings or click options settings
Click Advanced Options> Host routing Table
Click the Menu key and click register now.

I have done it all it tells me to do how long from clicking on the register key to getting some sort of response
thanks

nicv27,

try calling o2 customer service and get them to register at their end, they can setup your login so you can add email accounts yourself once setup.

Posted by jcwhite_uk
Normally it comes up with that if you haven't connected the phone to the network. Make sure you have the phone on with the sim in and that you have a blackberry account setup. To check for blackberry it should say EDGE or GPRS in upper case letters or the blackberry logo next to 3G. You should also get a message in the inbox saying the phone has been registered on the network.

@Ofiaich I have this problem with a app I installed called David, program gone out of applications, but it still runs fine rather confusing to say the least, I just hide the icon can't be bothered,

Would like to say I'm finding wifi on a bb very pointless the only 2 things that seem to work are ubertwitter and the browser, my Sim card died so having to use a payg and I can't use any of my apps on wifi stupid !

Posted by Trev1982
thats it im sick of it, now,

my usb ports work fine if i plug my phone in vid DM but if i just wause the memory card in my computer its not even found, i tried different versions of DM and the usb drivers, GGGRRR

I looked on the o2 website and they dont mention that i can use Hotmail with a BlackBerry, is this just that they missed it out or is it not possible to use Hotmail email?
