i know laffen did a lot of work get this thing ready, but imo i don't like it.

Just forget the past...
I like it, not perfect, but i like it.
you just have to get used to the new layout and in a couple of weeks you won't even remember the old layout.

Good job Olaf!

Noooo... I liked the old layout better...
Too much wide open spaces...

BUT on the positive side, the posts are more stretched out. Less scrolling.

I just log on to esato and thought what the hells this, i really really really dont like the new layout, in my opinion its more complicated less tidy and its going to put people off.

I'll echo what someone else said, "if it aint broke dont fix it"

One of esato's +ve's for me was the layout really simple and easy to use now its like this

Yeah, I agree with you. Old layout was better. But I'll give it a few days, see if I can get used to it. Right now I'm hating it.
I was the one who said "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Say, couldnt there be an option in User preferences to switch back to the old layout or keep the new layout ?? I preferred the old one...

it's cool; a neater, more efficient layout. I like it. You get used to it whatever it is, the important things is the content.
