Except for norton as it doesn't seem to work with XP?
Posted by ferrarista44
i use norton antivirus 2002 with xp pro. no prob at all, the liveupdate works well.

Agree with ferrarista44, Norton on XP works great, and has the nicest update of any AV software.
Some say MacAfee protects better, but that isn't my experience...

I use Norton Anti Virus 2003
Posted by Eamonn
My problems with Norton:
2002: Keeps on giving me an error message on startup.
2003: LiveUpdate doesn't work.
My problems with McAfee: Startup screen freezes on startup.
What do you think about PC-Cillin?

Mcafee and norton r nothing compared with virobot. It could only catch the virus in my pc.

virobot: where can I get this virobot from then?

I use Kaspersky AVP which is absolutely excellent. I've had it about 4 years, and it's never let me down - in fact when I started using it I'd got WinCiH which was propagated to the rest of the computer by Symantec (which I was trying to get rid of it with). I tried Sophos and Norton, neither of which were any good, and finally resorted to Kaspersky which got rid of it no problem.

Yes i have kaspersky avp too for about 2 years. No problems were in these 2 years. I think it is the best virus protector.

I dont think you could go wrong with any of the norton's range.

F-Prot RULLZ ! Even F-Prot for DOS is the best anti-virus I've ever seen...(with the latest updates of coarse:-) ) A few days before I found a worm on my PC,and when I've decide to run Norton,I discovered that ... it's not there!!! The worm has just erased it!!! So - restart it MSDos and run F-Prot
P.S. Kasperski is quitly good too:-)
