Aircraft Cockpits in Flight. What is it about an aircraft cockpit that is so appealing? Is it all the knobs and buttons? Or the fact that pulling the wrong lever can send you to your doom!
Check out these wonderful images taken by an anonymous Russian commercial pilot.

remember when I was 10 and the pilot invited us too look at the cockpit, was amazing, it was at night aswell so all of the buttons were lit up

Ever considered becoming a commercial pilot masseur?
Posted by masseur
I did but I'm too old now for the airlines.
I did all the commercial theory exams though, just none of the practicals
I've never flown a glass cockpit

sorry to hear that.
maybe you should take a trip over to Russia where they will let you fly anything for the money.

yeah, if only I had a spare $20m! now that would be a flight of a lifetime!
anyway, here's the latest cockpit, the A380

Thats just awesome, looks like a high-end flight sim.
I heard this plane literally flys itself...including take offs and landings.

Wow that's brilliant, you'd need special access nowadays though, I mean those kids can be real trouble makers, no suprise there is so much extra security.

I would just love to sit in the cockpit through the whole flight...the best views on the plane!
I wonder if there is way of doing that?...i mean getting permission to sit with the pilots throughout the flight?....probably not but need to make sure as that would be a dream come true if at all possible?
Maybe "Jim'll fix it for me"!

Nice pics there...........I always fancied getting up to the flightdeck, maybe use my daughter as an excuse, but security these days would not allow it...shame really.

i agree, sunrise and sunset are my favorite times of the day anyway.
i once flew back from LAX to LHR one evening, and the sunset seemed to last for ages at that altittude! it was great.
