All i want to do is take pictures on my phone and put them on the computer. What's the difference between the mca-20 and the mca-25? I read that the mca-25 has "limited functionability" with the T68i. I'm hoping to just subsitute my digital camera with my T68i w/ cam. I'm only days away from buying one of the MCA models, which should I get? And how good is the picture quality?? Thanks for any input.

I think you should get the mca-20 because the zoom function of mca 25 is not applicable for t68i its only for t300

Both Communicam models will not be as good as your digital camera. Highest resolution is 640x480 VGA, although the quality is around the best available for a camera phone you need to be aware that neither of these Communicam support flash or auto-focus of any kind.
The MCA-25 has a digital zoom that will not work on the T68i (unless the next firmware upgrade fixes that) but it does have a viewfinder lens in addition to the MCA-20's facility of using the 256 colour screen of the phone as a viewfinder.
Pictures are taken at 16 million colours, what you see on the 256 colour screen is not a fair representation of your actual picture!! The same can be said for the Nokia's as they have a better 4096 colour screen their pictures look better on the phone - but on computer you can notice the difference in 16 million colours. Generally, I find the Communicam takes better colour pictures.

I was v disappointed with my mca20 - it has very limited use due to screen 256 colours-i guess its still one of those must have gadgets though!

go for the MCA-25 a lil longer but slimmer SE logo and hopefully a possiblity of FW upgrade later on to enable zoom

i have both, and i like the mca-25 coz im able to view the pic thru the viewfinder, i dont like viewing from the phone coz the view sucks. i can focus better on the viewfinder

So bottomline is, mca-20 is fit,practical,cheaper for t68 but mca-25 is for new se models better with upcoming software upgrades for t68? Xmas is few weeks away and i hav to buy a cam for my t68, question is- when wil the upgrade be available!? That would be the factor for me in buying 20 or 25

New Model (Better lens?)
Slim
Possibility of a firmware update to use the zooming function and other stuff
BUT:
The MCA-20 it's perfect for the Blue Artic design (Color combination).

I have a funny feeling that when the MCA-25 camera is released in the UK that SE will probably have a version with a flash to compete with Siemens. I can see this happening a few months after the MCA-25 is released in the UK. About 6 months after.

According to a SE developer, the mca-25 has a little better image quality. Also the T68 software will probaly support all the mca-25 effects, with an upgrade. Actually I've seen a t68 with a prototype software that fully supports the mca-25...

I actually just got one MCA-25 for only, they sold it for CHF 40.- (30$) less than the MCA-20!!!

Well, anyway, I paid it CHF 179.- (~120$ or ~120€) hoping that a new soft will make the zoom function active on my T68.
We'll see!
Though the quality isn't impressive, I'm quite satified with it.
The thing I'm not happy about is the impossibility to transfer directly pics from the camera to PC (via Bluetooth or IR) . If it's technically impossible, they should at least have made a "one press" option so you don't have to send it to the phone and then look for it in the images section and after many menus finally being able to send it.
