6610 has been pulled on Orange UK - I wonder why???
7210 is still go...

I guess 6610 will not be launch .........6100 will replace it

Posted by Super G
Nope Caff.

6610 is available!

6610 was due to release just before christmas - it was printed in all the mags - them boom - 'the 6610 has been withdrawn from orange & will no longer be released. As this handset was currently under review & testing, it has decided that we will not continue with this product' - probably cos orange realised that 7210 & 6610 are near enuff the same thing..... or because it is shite

i wonder how 7210 sells in other country, its quite expensive and ridiculously elongated! id rather choose 6610 but what the hell is that withdrawn? reshaping/facelift, buggy, or would hurt 7210?

Posted by Super G
6610 is NOT withdrawn!!!!
It is already on sale. I saw it in a shop at 569EUR.

One of the t-mobile tech reps told me today that they will carry the 7210 in the U.S. here Q1 2003. As far as I know thats going to be the only nokia they are planning on carry for now.

Regardless of what is going on with Orange France, Orange UK has decided to pull the plug!

Are they afraid it would put a shadow over their SPV...

Posted by Super G
Well, where has this information been disclosed btw that 6610 would not be available on Orange UK??

@super G - I have disclosed it - I work for Orange UK - other networks will probably still release it - I have heard some horror stories about 7210 aswell (same platform etc)

Posted by wapchimp
Orange won't announce it - as the handset was only being tested - it was in the catalogs as 'coming soon' - but then they dropped it.

@orangeman:

Thx for the clarification
Though, I must say that I more than doubt that 7210 would have failed on Orange network (same for 6610)
