take a look at www.palmgear.com there are quite a few IM apps there, and you may find a free one too.

A friend use LifeDrive. I play with it some minutes and I must say looks like a great palm/pda device (just the brick size n no phone are bad points). If you find a good app for IM apps plz update this thread.
