Hi all.
Well to cut a long story short....
I have a PC upstairs and laptop downstairs and want to buy a speedtouch box for upstairs so that no headache taking the box and stuff up there at night but what i want to know is.....
Can the PC be used on the net upstairs and the laptop be used downstairs on the net at the same time?
If that makes sense?
Cheers

you can do it wirelessly or with cables mate.......
wireless routers are about £40 from pc-world - or they were the last time i looked.... you will need a wireless card tho unless either the laptop or pc is wirelessly enabled

yeah basically mate you need to buy a router. hook it up to your modem. Then link your pc and laptop to the router. Simple as.....
O and you can get either a wired or wireless one so go for whatever suits you. personally id have wireless with a laptop

Yeah, when i bought my wireless router about a year back it was £70 and came with a free dongle to allow wifi use on either a laptop with no wifi or a desktop.
I actually have the dongle still unused somewhere....

Ok so erm i either need a dongle or wireless router?
Posted by scottt
No you need both.....
A wireless router to replace your current broadband modem so then you will have wireless internet to connect to, and a wifi dongle for your laptop so that it can connect to the wireless router....

Simple, if you know the basics.
Is your broadband cable or ADSL?
