Yer got it a bit early, just can't get in to it....I just get really bored after 1-2 races.

I caved in, went out and bought one yesterday, what with the recent price drop
Traded in all my Gamecube stuff tho and ended up getting £127 store credit, therefore the 360 Arcade, with Too Human for free, plus "4 games for £20" means I paid £22 for a 360 and 5 games, plus the arcade games lol
Very happy with it all so far. I got Superman Returns, Kameo, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and PGR3 with the 4 for £20 offer. Only played PGR3 and Splinter Cell so far, but contemplating taking the latter back because it's driving me mad. Ie "no Sam, I want you to jump down, not keep hopping over the railing back and forth and back and forth all the time!!"

So you've got a spare one on your HD Drive. Can you use a control pad with it?
If so, that should mean a usb hub should work, hopefully.

The update yesterday was to the M$ servers and XBLA data on them... We don't get the update for a month or so i believe. There was no dashboard update download thingy yesterday!

No, the downtime was so that they could do backend work, we, the consumers won't notice anything.
They were just prepping their servers for the update....my guess is updating them and beefing them up a bit.

I have a 360 with flashed firmware and a couple of months ago I got the flashing rings and searched the internet and found some local to me to get it fixed................GREAT!
Just yesterday I went to turn my 360 on and I have 3 out of the 4 lights flashing and the 360 wont work just sits there flashing. Now the first time I had this problem there were 4 lights flashing but this time only 3...........different error maybe?
Obviously I cant send the 360 back because not only is it flashed with new firmware but its been opened and repaired by someone other than Microsoft.
Any Ideas?

Dunno when I'll next be on, I've got the 'net working to the 'box via an Ethernet bridge when I'm at my boyfriends, but when I'm at home I can't and I'm waiting for my Dad to help me set up the wireless ethernet adapter he used on our old XBox (he needs to lift the security etc to add it, lot of faff

Just to make sure, a wireless sender/reciever that connects to the mains and to the ethernet port on the XBox will work, right? It's just like having ethernet but it's wireless at the other end, so the XBox shouldn't be able to tell the difference between that and a normal ethernet cable, right?

It's in preperation for the dashboard update. Because it takes up a certain ammount of space, their giving people the chance to get larger memory for free or cheap.
If you've got a Core system, and never put a hard drive on it, you can have either a FREE 512MB memory card, OR a refurbished 20GB hard drive for £12.99
If you've got an Arcade system, and never put a hard drive on it, you can have a refurbished 20GB hard drive and 3 months xbox live gold for £19.99
And before anyone starts getting huffy that they can't have one because they've already got a hard drive etc, why the hell should they give you one? Loads of people on hotukdeals.com have been moaning and bitching like no tomorrow over this, you've already got the download space available so why should they give you more if you don't need it?

that's about as far as I can help, sorry matey.
I use OS X - and that has problems with sharing connection with a 360, I just gave up. Try posting on the official microsoft xbox360 forums, you might get more detailed help a bit faster there.

To get the xbox on-line you need to create a xbl account and to do that yo need a credit card. if you have that you can set-up a xbox live account and play on-line. much more annoying to set-up than the 360

You dont need a credit card, well i didnt 6 months ago when I got my 360. Registered using my MSLive account and that was it. To use Xbox live gold you need to subscribe but you can do that by buying a voucher. No credit card is needed.

So whats your verdict so far on FarCry2 Trev? I've heard it's a bit of a let down for people that are coming from the original PC version.... no free-roaming landscape
COD5 multiplayer is pretty good, tbh i didnt play COD4 much online so wouldnt really notice the changes as much or whats new etc. The dogs are a b*tch though...they just sneak up on you! Only up to Level 4 atm lol But going play it some more this week...
Been playing Midnight Club LA loads over the weekend - and i have to say it's awesome! It's kind of what i thought Burnout lacked in the way of fast rolling action, as you *had* to drive to each race/event and couldnt set a GPS tracker. MC:LA is so free flowing and much more fun!

If anyones interested, I plugged in a 4 port USB hub into the 360 and connected 2 controllers and it works fine. So thats 2 controllers on one 360 usb port.
Played Fifa09 and Pro evo demo's and I hate to say it but it might be Fifa for me. Pro seems a bit basic.

I've been playing the PS3 version almost non-stop since the day it released. Absolutely awesome game!
