Does anyone out there know of anywhere doing a 360 bundle with the full Rock band kit? It must be the console with a HDMI port, not worried about it being the arcade console or premium as i already have the hard drive and stuff from my dead xbox.

Just looked on Play and Game, and there are no bundles with the full rockband kit.
Amazon have got the kit for just shy of £100.

yeah i saw that, but i can't believe you have to buy the game on top
I was hoping to get a new console, full kit and game.... No where does it tho... Play seem the cheapest for the kit and console but they still want £40! for the game!
I was hoping to save some monies and get them all together... No where does the lot all in tho...

It is scandalous. Give it a week or 2, and the price may get lower.

Should be getting my XBox back from repair today or tomorrow. Not a bad turnaround as I only sent it last tuesday and it went to germany.

The amount of money MS waists on shipping these things around the world for repair etc, I am certain its much cheaper to just replace the thing.
Come to think about it they probably do, but just to avoid the influx of claims they have to pretend they doing their job

When this problem first occured, they would send you a different xbox than what you sent in, but now it seems like you get your original one back.

Whoa i've just discovered that ASDA are selling xb0x360 acrade pack for £148!! £2 cheaper than Play.com... It's an instore deal only!

Just bought Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Its brilliant. As soon as i loaded it up it said "welcome back, here is what you have unlocked with your previous XP points" (from the 1st game)
Quite impressed with that lol.

My 360 has a HDMI port on it and so does my monitor that i use it on. If i use a HDMI cable can i still leave the old AV cable plugged into the 360 so i can run the audio through my stereo? Anyone know?

Microsoft do an Xbox HDMI cable with seperate audio cables, I believe.

Has anyone here ever transfered their hard drive to another 360?
My Xbox360 Premium packed up so i bought an Arcade 360 as a cheap alternative and transfered the hard drive onto the new xbox. I'd had no problems with it until last night. I took my xbox around a mates place to play some Forza2 System Link. When i loaded up Forza it came up with an error message saying i couldn't play on my profile because the DLC wasn't available. To rectify this i had to connect to XBL. Now i can only play half my games when i'm connected to XBL or i get the same error message.
I was wondering if i download all the DLC again with the Hard drive attached to my new Xbox the problem will go away. I never had this problem with the DLC when the hard drive was on my old xbox?
Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to transfer data from a 20GB HDD to a 60GB or 120GB HDD? I'm thinking of upgrading my hard drive but i don't want to have to download everything again?? I've read somewhere that new hard drives are supplied with a cable to transfer data from one disk to the other? Anyone shed any light on this? I've tried google but with no luck...

EDIT
D'oh found it...

How many of you have had the RRoD problem? I'm curious seeing as it's all over the internet =o
Posted by RyaN
I've had it happened to me once. I've read some people have had it happen about 5 or 6 times. Not good really. Do PS3's have similar problems i wonder?
Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Nah I read an article talking about the problems with the Xbox compared to the PS3 and it said that if somebody hasn't had a problem with their Xbox 360, they at least know somebody who has - That's how bad the problems have gotten. Then the article went on to say that the PS3 has had no such problems. Nothing that affected such a huge percentage of the systems they manufactured.
As far as I know though, Microsoft have fixed the worst problems with the new batches of Xboxes. Anyone confirm this?

I had it happen once... And my 360 was about a month out of warrenty...
I ended up buying an Arcade Xbox360 and just swapping my HDD over to the new console. All new 360s come with a 3year warrenty and M$ replace/repair them if you do get the RRoD, normally within 14days too.
And as for PS3s, two of my friends have had problems with the BlueRay drive failing. But both have just returned them to the store they bought them from for a replacement console. I'm not sure how common that fault is... No where near as common as the RRoD i'm guessing.

Yeah to be fair M$ repair centre only took about 1-2 weeks to turn around my repair, and they even gave me a new faceplate for my troubles as the hinge USB door on the front of mine had broken.
The build quality of 360's should really be better though, up to PS3 standards, although as mentioned they seem to have ironed out many of the earlier probs with 360's now.
I think the next game i'll be buying for my 360 is GOW2. Anyone know when it's expected to be released?

All 360s are covered by the 3 year warrenty for rrod not just new ones. Has the 360 been out for 3 years yet?
Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Its about 3 years in late 2008 isn't it? I think it came out late 2005...

Still playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2, its brilliant. Looking forward to StreetFighter 4 too. Is it possible to use a non xbox harddrive if I wanted to upgrade? If so, how do I do it?

Nah its not possible. You have to use the Xbox 360 units which are very expensive. Bad move by Microsoft if you ask me (and many other gamers).

December 2nd 2005. Just found out. So all UK Xbox 360's are still covered if you get RRoD.

Ummm... ok so it might not of been out of warrenty but it may have been errr.... Tampered with
