Something about it being a 50hz only game...
I've checked the MS website and it seriously states that even the downloaded old games may not work with thte vga cable.. but i'm not taking any risks...

Mine got the 3 red lights last week
Manufacture date on the console: 11/2005 got it first week of december. I guess it was coming. Only positive bit is MS are doing a free 3 yr warranty on 360s for the RROD.

The reason MS is taking longer to return consoles at the moment is they checking for those that have hacked firmware runnning on it. This was a big problem in Taiwan and caused a serious back log guess they know doing it worldwide.

Is anyone having troubles on live atm?
Its virtually impossible to play PGR4 and the blades in the dashboard that are live operated with ads etc (Marketplace, Home and Games) take like 5 minutes to load up

It's taking mine a while to load up too.. not as drastic as 5mins but there's a good 10secs(ish) until the flashing ringy thing disappears.
And is anyone elses 360 not loading games? On FM2 it doesn't load the entire 'ring, so I'm driving on nothingness until I pause and it loads. And Smackdown Vs. Raw '08 stops loading sometime too... is the 360's firmware doing this?

i can get on no problem but the market place is buggered... Half the stuff there just comes up with errors when i try and access it, and dowloading is near impossible, more error messages.
Online play is fine tho!

Microsoft may be getting a roasting over the lack of performance of its Xbox LIVE service during the holidays but it is celebrating some healthy sales figures for the Xbox 360 console.

According to the company, it has shipped 17.7m Xbox 360 consoles in just over two years. According to Vgchartz, the number of Xbox 360s shipped up to September 30th 2007 was 13.4m, meaning Microsoft has had a bumper holiday season by shifting more than 4m of them in the last three months.
In related news Microsoft announced that the game, Halo 3, has sold a stunning 8.1m copies in just over three months, while Mass Effect from BioWare, has managed to sell 1.6m copies in just 6 weeks.
For those LIVE customers who had a patchy online gaming experience over the Silly Season, Microsoft apologised and offered a free Arcade download. In a statement, Marc Whitten, General Manager, Xbox LIVE, said:
“As a result of this massive increase in usage we know that some of you experienced intermittent Xbox LIVE issues over the holiday break. While the service was not completely offline at any given time, we are disappointed in our performance. As a thank you for your loyalty during this holiday period, we will be offering all of our Xbox LIVE members around the world access to a full Xbox LIVE Arcade game that will be available to download free of charge.”
