Let this be the place where all 360 owners can discuss games, hardware and all other xbox 360 related stuff.
This is not a place where PlayStation owners can say "the PS3 will be better" and general console bashing.
So let me start, is any one using the wireless adaptor to connect to Xbox live? If so was it easy to set up and what do you think of it
btw i did search and only found pre xbox release topics but if there is something like this please let me know.

I am looking to get live and getting the wireless adapter seems my easiest option, the other being getting a very long cable running from my router downstairs to the 360 in my room
I have heard its easy enough to use and setup though, just a case of plugging in, searching for your wireless network, putting any WEP keys etc in and your away.
I've just treated myself to this faceplate for my 360....

Very true, any other console comments should be deleted, don't get me wrong I'm not a xbox fanatic and i will be getting the PS3 but I'm just sick and tired of people saying other consoles will be better.
Same for me as my xbox is in my mum room because she's got a nice new Hi-Definition TV and the router is in my room.
The only thing is that my aunt got the wireless adapter for her son and she said it couldn't find the wireless network, maybe because shes with AOL lol
But shes giving me it today so i will try it and post how it went.

I jsut got the adapter, now i cant remeber how to access my router settings, its sumthing like 192.168.1.1 into the address bar, can anyone confirm what it is?

Has anyone had problems connecting to games on Live this evening?
I've been trying for an hour (in PES6) and it keeps sying "failed to find opponent"...
Few other comments...
The wireless router is very very easy to setup, plug it in, run the wizard and it's done. Easy as. Connectivity is really good too for a wireless device, not had any lagging or disconnection.
Games, currently I've only got:
COD3
PES6
Table Tennis
Though I'm looking for Tony Hawks, Rainbow 6 Vegas and Gears of War (my certain next purchase).

get gears of war. the games is simply aewsome. i have it, and have clocked it, clocked it in 2-3 days. has superb graphics and gameplay.
though the game felt a little short (thats what happens when u play it so much
) , but none the less a great game, u wont be dissapointed.
just make sure u play it on hd tv, and surround sound is even better

Not sure if this is related but the official xbox websites have been down since yesterday. Could this also effect exbox live? I do not have live so im not sure. I have GOW, its wicked thou i do not have much time to plasy it. I amj awiating the Star Trek game, i love Star Trek

Anyone playing Test Drive Unlimited? Awesome game but i cant figure out how to lose the police and keep ending up with fines of $50k+ !! Maybe i should just try not to crash so much?

@Epic Clive, yeah Test Drive is an awesome game, it is wise not to crash and the only way to lose the police is just driving as fast as you can and getting away from em, i have had chases last well over 20 minutes in the past can get quite hairy but is bloody fun

Just got live set up and working and played a few games of PES6
Have set it up by just running the ethernet cable from the 360 to my laptop then using my laptops wireless connection.... Was easy

Does anyone know how to warp to the secret island on Test Drive? I've been told to look out for a glowing eden sign/logo in on the south/east coast of the main island, you apparently drive into it and warp to the island. I've searched everywhere for it but i cant find it anywhere?
Also.. what's the point in ford island? I got a msg in game a while back telling me i could now access Ford island, so i went there and there's nothing much there just a couple of roads.... Oh and ford island isn't the secret island i'm on about...

I'm not at the mo... unfortunately my net connection has been dead since Xmas eve and i got my 360 for xmas. It's working today but is very up and down? Will hopefully be on very soon tho!

I have it mate, only been on it once.
Its very repetitive. I had to start again aswell, after it crashed wilst loading save game. I had a right game going aswell

Just finished Gears of War in two days woohoo, now il go back and try it on insane level...more likely be two months..

I agree but when the last fall update bricked my machine I wasnt to happy, plus they are now able to check who is running a modified 360, so yeah il make a sacrafice....

Would'nt mind Viva Pinata tbh, looks fun, and although from the outset looks very "kiddy" its supposed to be quite good.
I cant get off Test Drive Unlimited, it really does make fantastic use of Live, tell you if you have that game but dont have live your missing out on half the fun
Also just got COD3 which is awesome
Just need Gears of War and Lost Planet when it comes out Friday and i should be sorted gaming wise for a while

Gears of War and COD3 are both quality, im more into COD3 but that's probably because iv played it a lot more, especially on live.
