This new upcoming film by Quentin Tarantino looks really amazing.
GrindHouse is a film that consists of two segments, of which both are feature-length attractions. One segment, Planet Terror, will be a zombie film written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. The other segment, Death Proof, will be a slasher film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. There will also be trailers advertising fake films between the segments. @boba - It'll probably be made in an 'ironic' or 'post-modern' way in an attempt to avoid corniness. Though don't think I'll be seeing it, not really a big fan of Tarantino's films, or Rodriguez's for that matter!
Though as Axxxr's said, at least they're trying to break the usual Hollywood 'mould' for films. Although for me they'll still be rubbish!

apparently theyre gonna split the movie up into to seperate releases when it comes out over here. surely that completely defeats the point of "grindhouse"

It was due out on the 1st June gone, but the date has now been pushed forward because of poor box office takings in the U.S.

exactly, its about individual choice at the end of the day, i've liked a lot of films which bombed at the box office.
