@Sonyericsson-Man, thats a diving trick too. In fact I've learned to do it without even holding my fingers on my nose any more.
another way is to swallow hard or better still, yawn, as it opens the eustacian tubes which links the throat to the ear

they say (they being doctors in my area) that using cotton buds to clean your ear is very bad as it actua;lly pushing teh wax back in....
personally i havent cleaned my ears with a cotton bud for about 10 years lol as i still rememebr teh time i puched it in too far... it was nasty, felt very very strange, wouldnt wanna get that feeling again, it felt how you would imagine the inside of a balloon to feel like - hollow! (ok i have a brain but it did feel really wierd),......
i wouldnt recommend trying it peeps, could defo damage soemthing

indeed leeboy...
i tore my left ear drum thro using a cotton bud.
my docs say just let the wax fall out..
luckily it doesnt seem to do it that often.

@Masseur
Thats what its called, your Eustacian tube and you can feel it open and close when you have a good yawn.
Having a real hot bath softens the wax in your ear.

What the hell are "Baby Gays"

Earwax, also known by the medical term cerumen, is a yellowish, waxy substance secreted in the ear canal of humans and many other mammals.
Chewing lots of gum or talking helps prevent blockages.

Q tip = cotton bud, consult your doctor.

a "Q-tip" is a cotton bud, a company called it that, and it just caught on, now nearly everyone in america calls them "Q-tips" becuase the name one company put on them.
