transfering sms to alternative display

HAs anyone heard of a method of viewing a text message on an alternative dipslay.
I would like to view a text message in a very bright environment, are there any devices on the market that may allow the user to view message recieved by a phone but to view it on an alternative display device.

any help on this issue would be geatfully appreciated
