awesome! Btw krio... i like this 21.8 a lot. Good colours, but sometimes no focus (sometimes), and if you could sharpen it up a little (i already asked you this a few times no offence ), that would be super. Any news about chengrong?

krio, i've checked the 21.8 fixed cam driver. The highlighted command u asked to edit is already there

i 've pasted crop from 21.8, now you have to download original 4.5 or 5.3 driver by sony and search the same lines and copy them to 21.8 (and put the highlited commands like it was in 21.

PS. sorry... you also have to change prop...5_0 to be same as 5_1 (so the compression level of jpeg be the same for NORMAL and FINE quality )

EDIT:
you know what? here you have 21.8 with default JPEG (from 4.5/5.3):

Thanx krio!!

I tried Kriomag v21.8 CCkopritis by Jonaugust_69. It will sound very funny maybe, but on my wc at night with led, the CC is great:)) Without it, classic krio v21.8 with led in total dark is going into light blue colours (with cc too, but from my view not so much). (yes pictures..., I have no time now to make any and the old...well, I don't think, it would be nice idea, to have photos of playing Mr.Kája on his toilet at midnight here, am I right?:)))

its for Spot photometry. it means it will use the middle of the picture to determine exposure levels.. this can be useful if youre trying to shoot something indoors with sunlight in the background coming through a window or something.. without spot, the object will be black/very dark because of the exposure level.

Thanks. I like your drivers, by the way

Nirodha.. thanks for the compliment

W810 users.. of 4.81... .. after more tests, I've concluded that a sharpness level of 5 is overall better than 6. 6 works better in some conditions, but in just taking random shots both outdoors and indoors, using 5 gives better clarity.. so...

1) either do a find-replace and replace all occurences of "06 56" with "05 56"

or

2) just download this version of 4.81 with sharpness set to 5

Thanks for the update!
Under what conditions is sharpness 6 better than 5?

@Everyone Does the Mxe-60 flash work any differently with the modified cam drivers?

Posted by pakraider
well.. its so hit and miss..

for close up shots, 6 is definitely better and will give a sharper picture.

for midrange shots, its a tossup.. i cant decide.. but maybe 5 is a bit better.

on my phone, 5 gives slightly better landscape shots outdoors, but now that i think about it, i think its because of my scratched lens.. with 6 its sharper on the edges but blurred in the middle where its scratched..

so..

ok stick with 6.. but experiment with 5.. and see what works better on your phone ive changed my mind and decided to stick with 6 for my phone..

i remember seeing someone's driver once where they had actually set the sharpness to 16!! (it was '10' since its 16 in hex).. but supposedly it came out blurry he said.. i wonder what the limit is? ive never tried anything higher than 06...

for once i finally took identical shots just minutes apart.. close up and midrange.. and sharpness of 6 is definitely better than 5 on my w810... but it might be different for others. so stick with the original 4.81

Yes I already tried 4.81 Day shots... It's amazing... Now I am just comparing it with Night Shots...

Release a version above to 5.5 for avoiding confusion...

21.9 is tested now, if stable i will release it tomorrow ...maybe day after tomorrow

faster take picture? in EM/ENM no, it takes pictures wioth same speed as 21.4...8 i prefer quality, not speed...

ofc new version is better it has fixed autofocus (same as 21.8 ), in 21.6/7 autofocus with macro was wrong, could not get focus in most of situations (close and middle range shots)

enlarge the fragment of the picture to see the difference among automatic and defined compression:

as you can see typical for JPEG compression 8x8 blocks are more visible on lower (auto) compression. automatic = always 75%

ofcourse as i wrote earlier defined compression dynamically assigns compression % so even if you define 90% it doesn't mean you always get this value.

my opinion? if you don't see differences between 75% and 90% it's better to set ~85% and get lower file size and quite good effect.

hi..can u modify w550i acoustic driver like 4.81? surely without manual n autofocus but can use:
- CC
- 2 Quality Modes (Picture Quality NORMAL: Default Modes, Picture Quality FINE: EM/ENM/LedEM/LedENM), JPEG 89% (for Normal & Fine Picture Quality)
- Enhanced Modes Support WB Profiles (also with LED).

here's w550i orginal camera driver

i hope u can do that my friend likes your camera driver (4.81) but her phone is w550i, it's possible?

w550i acoustic driver is Sound Driver...

About W550i... I think it is 1.3 MPixel... So driver and hardware entirely different...

@Sarmad

Definitely im in love with your 4.8 mod. Bud keep it in 6 for sharpness!!! it's far better..can u upload again for me...cause i've tested the 5 sharpness one that u upload and i can't locate where is the other

4.8 mod - 6 Sharpness -

Perfect day pictures:... far better than any driver i tested...Even in Landscape!!

Macro pics:- Here is the big deal!!! Marvelousss!!! using manual focus gives exceptional sharp pictures

With Mxe-60: great pictures too...specially in close range

With normal led:...mmm...It gives to me a little blue colour in the pics but you can take good pictures with cloudy white balance

ENM: great pics if your hands are not shaky hehe..compared to kriomag's but a little faster.

A GREAT DRIVER!!

Best driver i've tested for my k750@W800 :)

Hi Sarmad,

Would you please do a little instruction/feature sheet for this? (Something like what Kriomag did for his.) That way we could convert it to *.html and upload it to our phones for easy reference.

Or, if you like, I could attempt to write one up and you could approve it.

Also, it seems as if your driver has AE Lock included. Is this right?

Thanks in advance,
Nirodha

@sesshoumaru

just my 2 cents

i think most of the phone crash while taking picture is mostly cause by lack of free memory space on the phone. So its advicable to delete or move applications, videos, mp3 , images to the external memory. This could help alot.

Hybrid Cam Driver Korpitis_v6/Sarmad_v4.81

... That would be a dream

These two drivers work the best for my w810!

Korpitis' Mod is fast with very good quality and can be appointed to Normal quality.
Sarmad's Mod (without CC) can satisfy more advanced demands and can be associated with Fine Quality.

Maybe similar hybrid can be done also for Korpitis/Kriomag.

Maybe our developers can grant this wish???

How to use the Manual Focus:

When in range 1.1-4.0 (+/-) click half-shutter for preview with zoom (you can ON/OFF zoom preview clicking half-shutter) - now (when zoom is on) you can adjust focus very precisely (+/-), when picture is most sharp half press (and hold) shutter (the zoom will go off) and when you are ready press shutter to take picture.

@kopritis
After a lot of tests, i think that your driver postet at page 121 is the best and i will keep it. Realy sharp pictures. Your last driver with mladen compression is not so good, small picture, keeps some details, but not all. Fast focus is not working in all cases, but work preaty good.
Anyway, if you have manual focus, you don't need faster focus, you can set on infinit in most cases and take fast shots.
