All of Kriomag's drivers have worked perfectly on my W810i. What is the advantage of using your file? (My W810i is CID49.)

Sarmadgilani... Is this the bug free one? And you tested...

Posted by sarmadgilani
@myavu .. yep, I tested it and it works great.

@mikeypants .. All W810 phones are CID49 A lot of W810 users get sharper and higher quality shots with drivers based on 4.5. Only way to see what works best for you is to try

So your driver is exactly the same as Kriomag's, except it is based on the code of camera driver 4.5?

Yep, its the same features as Kriomag's except its based on 4.5 (instead of 7.7). There might be some minor things here and there but the features are identical and work exactly the same way.. if I make any big change then I'll point it out.

I stopped making my own mods and now focus on taking Kriomag's excellent work and porting it over to 4.5's base and tweaking it for the W810. So, credit goes to Kriomag for the real hard work.

Thanks Buddy... I am loading the driver...

wow! the past days has been like a marathon of supercamdriver releasing and testing! hopefully, this latest version will be more stable so everybody can all rest for a while... thanks to all modders and testers,i.e. kriomag,sarmad,chengrong,kopritis and everybody else for their work..=)

@sarmad

thanks again for the customized camdriver "lite". its awesome!! maybe someday, i'll give the "fully-loaded" version a try...if its not too confusing for me... =)

@myavu

using a 7.7 based driver with my w810 gives good result but try and compare it out with the 4.5 based and like in my case, maybe you can also see the difference.

@guguly

I had already tested 4.5 based 21.4 & 21.5 both was superb but later was restarting on Night mode / ENM... But 21.5 was more sharper than 21.4 though it was the stable among both. I am testing 21.6 and update it in few minutes.

is this the main change or the "only" chamnge Kriomag?
i mean, is the driver the same?
Thanks and could you tell me what was causing the instability?

@Kriomag.
Can you give little help to fit your driver 21.5 for my need. I don't like 16X zoom, so which line can be edited to replace 16X zoom to 4X. Thx.

@Kriomag and @Sarmad:

Great driivers, but on main phone are unstable, i mean that the jpeg compression is may be higher and drop me on desktop after taking a pic. It's happens usually at very high sunlight and at very exactly specifical places...

Sarmad's 5.0 - based on 4.5 - Features from Kriomag's 21.6

Tested... But If I say... 21.4 (4. is still the best of best for me....

CC - Auto - MacroOn

NoCC - Auto - MacroOn

CC - MF1.1 - MacroOn

NoCC - ENM - Auto - MacroOn

Sharpness is not upto 21.4 (4./21.5Fixed (4.9)

@Sarmad

I think CC is the major issue...

Natural color is providing good result... (In Day light-as I tested)

Try a 21.6 based on 4.5 with out CC...

You can just change the picture quality setting to "Normal" to turn the CC off; no need for a new driver. "Fine" will turn CC back on.

Personally, I am still using 4.8 since it gives me the sharpest picture, which you have also confirmed as well. Did you mean you wanted a 4.8 with no CC? I will post that shortly because I think that's what you meant.

Just some different things for folks to try... these have JPEG 85 compression, so it should be stable and not kick you back to the main screen.. (85 is the default level for Fine quality in the 4.5 drivers)

I recommend the 4,8 with no CC since it gives nice clean and sharp shots on the W810.

Sarmad 4.8 with no Color Correction
based on 4.5 and Kriomag 21.4

Sarmad 4.9 Lite
has the Enhanced Modes, but default 4x zoom and no Manual Focus.

Yes... but why 21.6 is not sharper as 21.4... it was a Evolution...

CC on,off is good feature in 21.6 but 21.4 dont have that...

My conclusion...

Either 21.4 should have CC on OFF

else

21.6 should be as sharper as 21.4...

What about the stability i all modes?... any restart!... I believe you checked it...

Here are a few pics with the latest drivers:

Kriomag v21. 6 with CC

and without CC

I find the pic with CC to be much more realistic (without CC there's too much green color). Just look at the grass...

Yes, it is stable, I have checked it on my phone.

So.. here we have the ones I recommend for now:

Sarmad 4.8 with no Color Correction

based on 4.5 and Kriomag 21.4

Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?czjnwrujnnf

Sarmad 5.01 with Pilya's Color Correction

based on 4.5 and Kriomag 21.4

Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?fc1ztvje3g2

Two things I've noted.. with Pilya's CC, video recording looks better, and having the smooth viewfinder preview ends up giving blurrier shots on my W810; I have no clue why.. but that is why I am leaving out the smoother preview and sticking to factory default.

Also, we should take a step back and see where we've come with these mods. Just for fun, here's some shots with the factory default 4.5.. before I ever knew how to flash my phone..

At night, looks nice to me

afternoon shot

as you can see, I think 4.5 gives great shots on the W810.. and no other base gives this good of daylight quality on my phone, although 7.7 comes close. so, this is why I think its important to have 4.5 as the base driver so we can enjoy this quality during the day, and the enhanced modes in low light and at night.. best of both worlds

What is your opinion regarding sharpness when compare to 21.4?

Posted by sarmadgilani
I'd say 21.4/4.8 are the best right now for sharpness and clarity.. color correction doesn't seem to mess with the sharpness, it's just a personal preference about color saturation.

Posted by myavu
I was asking NV... he prefers with CC 21.6 but the shot was not that close or detailed

Posted by MiHaU
Thx a lot Kriomag for driver fix! I was going to reflash main.. ;p
But luckily I checked forum. Thx again.

Again you can see that without CC, image has too much green color...

What about Sharpness? I prefer 21.4

Posted by mladen750i
@All
Try to auto levels pictures example, one with and one without Color Corection in eg. Photoshop, and you will see, that one without CC is closer match... Thats example that realistics is in no Color Corectioning...

Posted by mladen750i
maybe, but maybe, CC is helpful in ENM...

Posted by sarmadgilani
with color correction, its all about personal preference in the end.

i recommend the 5.01 i posted, its the same as 4.8 (kriomag 21.4) but adds the light pilya color correction. this is especially useful for enhanced mode-no more green shots in my tests.

Posted by AllanJacques
See, what i was thinking is this: since there are 4 effects that can be used in camera, like Brighten and black and withe, i was about to present an idea...
how about use those effects as we are doing with picture quality? imagine, when you turn on black an with , for example, you instead get sopot on...
what do you modders think?

Did you check that purple issue... in 5.01 and what about same in 4.8 without CC ?

@mladen750i ==== Same to me too... With out CC is best... in day light as wll as room light as well as in Night Mode...

@All great Modders....
I also want to be a camera driver developer. So plz tell me where I can find information regarding this learning?????
I am a final year s/w engg student. So I think I can learn faster if anybody gave me a direction!!!!
Thanks.

@kriomag
Can u add spot and CC both in one driver???

Posted by kukuh
@Kriomag,good work man...chenrong n your code is really ROCK!!,can make awesome camdriver...

can you make your 21.6 like 8.54 feature....i mean Manual focus+zoom.....like this:
first, turn on macro for manual focusing,after the object sharp,turn off macro so we can zooming the object freely

or you can put manual focus on night mode,,so first manual focusing with night mode first,after that turn off night mode then we can zooming the object

i like this function in 8.54,,but it is not present in 21.6.....it just like sport mode(no focusing delay)
it really help if we want to capture many moving object(like racing car that far distance from us)

i hope you can understand what i mean.........
Good luck n good work kriomag....the camdriver will be has PERFECT functions!

Posted by kukuh
@ Suda
spot is not necessary,you can change EV manually

My tests with krios 21.6

LED+CC on

LED+CC off

CC on

CC off

With the LED on i'm not sure what's better, but it's definitely greener with CC off and LED on.Keep in mind that control pad is actually really dark green.

Without the LED i think CC off is better, it seems a little red with CC on.

Hi Guys! I'm just new here and i've been reading this topic from page 1 to 107 all day. all i can say is wow!

you guys did a great job in improving/optimizing SE's default cam driver.

I loved the image quality and how it can be customized. I just got my w810i 2 weeks ago, coz my nok** phone broke down. the reason why i bought the w810i is because of its features/price.

I have searched the internet whole day, about how to upload the camdriver0.dat to my phone. and realized that there is no easy way to do that.

this is the only site i found how to do it with cid49/w810i

http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=7330

but it is quite tricky, although i understand the steps.

sarmadgilani, sir

is it ok if i can ask what steps do you do to upload the cam driver to your w810i? is it the same as the above site?

thanx guys!!

I really appreciate sharing the info to new users like us who wants to make the most out of their w810i.

All the best sir!

i will shoot some tests with your manual focus mode...

this is what i got with new Kriomag's 21.6 driver. COOL!!! however, when using manual focusing once when taking picture the phone got back to main menu. but i hope it happened only once. i have w810i CID49.

I tested v21.6 a Kopritis last one. Maybe it's because I'm wearing glasses ( be sure I have really them), but I can't see much differences between EN and ENM? I mean between macro and macro+night...
Sowieso, I'm glad to Kopritis for his manual focus and zoom update. And for the version without enm on macro. I thing, its more sharpness when I can choose man. focus without enm. My opinion. Fine is, that I have another solution here to choose, so thx for your work, i have new default camdriver...at least for now:)
