Hi!
Does any body know if there is a software that enables you to browse through files (for example music files) on your computer with bluetooth via your phone and even download them to your phone?
I tried the "bluetooth control" software and it was good but i doesnīt quit do the job. As i mentioned earlier i also want to download files from the computer to my phone.
If you donīt know of any remote control as such mentioned, can you recommend me to the ones you do know of?
Any help or pointers would be much appreciated!
Thanks/MR

I tried to find a program that would let me browse files on my computer and download them to my phone but couldn't find one, so I have tried to make one myself. My program uses the "File Transfer Profile" and I can now browse my computer and transfer files in both directions but it is far from bug free.

Well, can you upload a copy of your program, so I can test it and see if it is buggy. I think it depends on the phone model your are using.

Sure, I can upload it. I will try to clean it up a litte first though.

Do you know of any good place where I can upload and host it?

www.megaupload.com, is the best for me.

@strizlow800: dont be so selfish, give him some choices (rapidshare, filefactory, etc) and then let him choose one of them

Ok, I have uploaded the file here:

I have no idea if it will work on other phones or with other bluetooth driver but you can always try it out if you are intrested. Who knows, it might just work.

I'll test it now. I'm going to report you as soon as see it if works fine or not

Well, the application stability is it's weak side. The application works great until i press the "Browse Device" button, to start browsing my computer files. And then it crashes. I mean you select the options in the application menu, but they don't respond to your commands. I'm using Widcomm bluetooth drivers too, so if you increase the stability it would be GODLIKE.

Well, I can't say I am terribly surprised that it didn't work so well but I am glad it didn't crash before it even started...
Do you get a list of the files on your computer at all? Is it when you try to enter another folder that it crashes? Does it give you any error message or something?
Edit:
Did you make sure to "click" on the file you tried to transfer before choosing "Get file"?
Also, the program lacks any form of progress bar so if you try to transfer large files such as mp3s it might be unresponsive for a while.

The application stops receiving the commands right before I get the list of files on my computer.
