Infrared not Working Laptop & K800i

My K800i with firmware R1ED001 and with EROM R3A011 from june 30th 2006, with update service software version CRH1069179 R3B019 is showing 2 odd bugs:

I don't see the menu to upgrade the phone firmware thru GPRS anymore (not using a computer) and more importantly, the infrared from the K800i is not recognized by my laptop although all the K800i drivers have been installed correctly with the cable connection. Weird as the infrared was working great with my old T630 and the same laptop...

Anyone with those problems ?
