Im sure a lot of people will be subcribing if intro'ed,provided there are mainstream 3G handsets (which is almost available).
Its a shame and quite disturbing for a country who want to be known as a IT superpower that,there is no real 3G services almost after 4 years of introduction in the world.
Deployment of HSPDA is going mainstream and still we havent got 3G!
What a shame.

Shyam, that wasn't a yes or no answer (neither was this hehe).

ummm....I get an average of 224 kbps @ 199/- pm...no data cap.....why would I wanna pay 500-600 ?

Is this the outcome of the recent partnership between airtel & microsoft?
If Airtel is to offer 3G throughout its network , then its a YES. Or if its gonna offer 3G only on some fixed towers in metros just like the partial EDGE being offered as of now, then its a NO.

No I wont beacause I am now accessing with MO @ 249 Unlimited and speed is 230 Kbps so its foolishness to pay for 256 @ 500 or more for me.

no. not now. i would rather wait for another 1 year at least till the market would be stablised.

When the whole world is enjoying 3g service and moving on to 3.5g & 4g technology . . . And there lies a country called india who is still stuck up with gprs. . . . Ha ha ha what a joke. . . Shame on the great gsm operators who boast about providing quality services to its citizens. . . . .

@zolo,
you should remember that india is still a developing country. there are other more important sectors to be given priority than telecom sector. 220 million ppl are still below poverty line. govt cant give them a 3g phone when they ask for a bread. here, mobile isjust becoming a necessary thing but 3g would be a luxury item. just wait for the right time. we cant compare ours with developed world.

yes!
but i'll also consider what the users who have used it are in the opinion of!

Posted by dheeraj1
@ajeetpv i don't like such meantality
and mobile operator has no other option other than upgrading to 3g as current network is already overuploaded and if they want to grow than they have to switch to 3g!!!
