I think it will take more than a couple of months for the price to drop as if you look at the N93 its price actually went up after initial release and is not dropping quickly yet, unlike some other phones we could mention.

Don't be so sure of that if he sends you anything that you sign for he can prove delivery and then it gets really difficult to prove anything. Personally i wouldn't risk it.

Just pointing out that just because you pay via PayPal it is not 100% safe i did realise you were not going to buy it now but you seem to think just because you pay with that method nothing can go wrong which unfortunately is not the case. Only trying to be helpful and save people from getting scammed.
