Apple Ipod 6th generation?

Im sure all you ipod fanatics out there have been hearing rumours of an upcoming 6G ipod, but i want to know if anyone has heard anything else release date etc? Im looking to buy an ipod but if a new one comes out i will not be best pleased.

rumours are that we might see a new version before xmas...i'd take that with a pinch of salt though.

But around March next year will defenietly see a 6th gen ipod and other goodies from Apple...inlcuding a iphone!
