Whats the best meal replacement bar or powder, protein bars that I could take to school thats under £10. Just make sure it doesn't taste like dog crap, if its nasty I can probably still choke it down.

@dj - Really can't think of any aside from the usuals: burger or any sandwich-type of that kind . . . yes, choco-bars (milkyway/3 musketeers/snickers) are just someof the BEST! I am seein' also some MILO-choco-bars . . . or the ones the Lance Armstrong and other Tour De France bikers take with them on the tour . . . looks like choco-bars still . . .

If your still in school i wouldn't recommend these. What do you want them for? These tend to be for people who want to bulk up and if your under 16 which i think you are then it is not a good idea as your still growing.

If you want to bulk up then the best think to do is to eat foods wih more protein in them, such as eggs, milk, fish etc etc.

dude am 16 in less than two weeks and i need them badly as i cant take the shakes in skl

Firstly i am not a dude and secondly i am only offering my opinion. Meal replacement will not bulk you up on there own, you will need to exercise aswell. If your 16 in two weeks then i would try and join a gym and ask there advice as to what to do.

Im 15 and use the gym twice a week for under an hour. Sit-ups and dumbel reps daily, my body is starting to tone maybe you should try the same

i do kick boxing and kunfo and drgon dance 8 times a week does that mean i still have to do gym

If you want to bulk up then yes, aerobic exercise will only tone and build endurance. If you want to build muscle then you will need to lift weights and it will take time and not happen overnight. Remember your body is still growing and you are more than likely to fill out and the next couple of years anyway.

@dj - Try Gold's Gym mate !

you do realise protein shakes etc just increase protein levels which help build muscle, if you just drink them and do your thingies its not going to do shit, as miss c rightly said you need to do weights.

I myself have been using the gym for about 3 weeks in chelt (a decent one unlike at chep) and within a week i noticed the difference and within 3 i have bulked up a bit even though I was only attempting to tone up a bit, although I do not drink protein shakes as they are just a waste of money
