Im a child of the 80s...

and thats an awesome vehicle...

but what im after.. is.... the movie of....

"PUNKY BREWSTER!" with Alf of course.....

Wow, I think that's one for me to see! Loved that series - when I worked in Derby someone had an exact replica of the '80s KITT - same make of car, had the red light at the front, the joystick style steering wheel, it even made that noise when the light when back and fourth on the car front!

I wonder if it'll be the 'Hoff' at the wheel still?

And if not, who would you like to see in KITT?

Posted by Burgaz
It looks a lot like the one from Knight Rider 2000

And that was Poop!

ive searched the net about this...

and this was stalled many times... coz of the cars manufacturer etc etc, Hoff wanted to use the same car model or maybe the successor to the 80s model, but then the manufacturer refused the car to be used... and then there still probs with the script, Hoff wanted to have that touch and feel of the 80s series. and ive also read that Hoff wanted Orlando Bloom to be Knights Son who would replace him behind KITT. and lots more.

i dunno if they had finished making up the casts. Hoff is definitely gonna be in there, but not behind the wheels. and some stars from the old series have left the living world... still they hafta adjust some storylines...

but definitely this will be a hit.

hhmmm still wondering if they would pop Goliath in the movie.

This should be awesome, Knight Rider was one of my fave shows and it would be darn cool if they got goliath in there.

Its gotta have the Hoff in , would'nt be Knight Rider without him, though i can see it having a story along the lines his son takes over the reigns from him, whateva happens this is either going to be awesome or a massive flop

It is being written by Glen A LArson (the guy who wrote it originally) and so far has the following cast: David Hasselhoff, Gregory Smith, Ted Levine, Yasmine Bleeth, Dash Mihok, Nicholas Lea, Jack Scalia.
Rumours have it that KITT will be a Konigsegg CCX

Yeah . . . and I am an 80's kid too ! But I prefer the tv-series COMBAT in the 70's which stars: Vic Morrow (RIP)

The ones used in the 80's is a Trans-Am brand . . .

Will there also a MOVIE line-up plan for The A-Team which stars Mr. T !

Posted by axxxr
JoJo internet chat suggests a A-Movie might be on the cards.

Its more than likely it will get made at some stage.

@axxxr - That's good news then mate ! They should be more-high-tech when it is made into a flick !

H m m m . . . what are the other NICE tv-series in the 70's-90's that are good to be made into a movie?

1. Three's Company (John Ritter is RIP though )

2. Cosby Show

3. McGyver

4. Mission Impossible (now playing)

5. Walking Tall

6. The Equalizer

7. Power Puff Girls

some good additions:

1. Misfits of Science (i dunno if you have watched this)
2. MANIMAL (the man that can be a panther, eagle and a snake etc)
3. AUTOMAN
4. Blue Thunder (Hope they would recreate the movie they made)
5. AIRWOLF (of course)

Yup, Blue Thunder was nice . . . but never made a sequel to that Air Wolf should be made into a movie too !

Posted by blu_6779
Is misfits of science the one about the guy shooting rays from his hands? Is there a movie on Remington Steele, would be nice to see it summed up.

Posted by *Jojo*
@blu - Yeah mate . .. Remington Steele ! I guess that's where Pierece Brosnan's career catapulted when he made that ! Charlie's Angels was a great hit too in the - 70's . . . now made into a sequel-movie, SWAT too !

Well how about . . . . Punky Brewster - The Movie (starring Lindsay Lohan )

How about Pole Position - The Movie ?

Another picture here of K.I.T.T from the new movie!

Posted by carkitter
That looks real cool, only I don't think it would be right for K.I.T.T. to be a Koenigsegg. The original K.I.T.T. character started life as a bog-standard Pontiac Firebird - not even the sooped-up Trans Am model as some think.

K.I.T.T. should be a new generation 'Muscle car' such as a Mustang, Camaro, Pontiac GTO (Holden/Vauxhall Monaro) or Chrysler 300C, imo.

wanna be bentley...

I've so many of them that have had all the badges replaced with bentley ones and the grill... still only ever going to be a 300c!!

Posted by rockygali
well this car is the one can go head to head with the DODGE Viper on

the VIPER Tv series...

i agree KITT should be a muscle car... rough! very manly.
just dont use the same voice as the 80s...

why keep trying to renew old shows? Team Knight Rider which came in the late 90s was as far away from the original Knight Rider you can come.

I might be conservative, but I prefer the old 80s shows to stay as they are and not to be renewed into some modern show.

I believe David Hasselhoff is trying to keep this new movie faithfull to the original TV series...He even wanted to keep the old KITT but the studios didn't let him.

Knight Rider,a shadowy flight into the dangerous world, with a man who does not exist.

Or something like that!

Like this:

"Knight Rider, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the powerless, the helpless in a world of criminals who operate above the law."

Is it real? Hmmmm
I what car was the first KITT, I doubt they would use this car....

Posted by jcwhite_uk
The original KITT was a Pontiac Trans-am (same model that the Bandit used in Smokey and the Bandit).
Here is a cheap one on ebay if you want one:
Ebay sale
and then convert it to KITT from parts Here

God knows how many toy cars I ruined trying to make them do "Ski Mode" and "Turbo Boost"

KITT's total production cost was estimated at $11,400,000 1982 (this was KITT's total construction cost as he was first built in 1982. The cost of subsequent equipment improvements and the installation of additional features since his activation have not been factored).

They only had 4 made dont blame them at the cost of 11 Mill plus. But I guess the others were more bear bones and kitted out (excuse the pun) for more intense driving.
