Thanx cytech!

But Why do u keep telling everybody to use the searchfunction, why bother answering?. Let someone else answer. As there are alot of newbees around, I suppose they appreciate the same question cooming up again.

Didnīt mean to be unpleasant, just wondering.
Anyhow, Thanks

If there r authrzd SE service ctr in ur place,try asking them if their selling those covers.

Posted by airevolt
Yep let the official srvce cnters chnge ur facias

Posted by captainsm
Is it really worth butchering the language and write like this
"jst lv it to srvce cntr"

How hard can it be to use those 5 extra letters to make proper words out of it ?

Posted by Jowi
@captain

if you're replying from a Mobile phone, its hard to spell out the whole text. i hope you try replying from a mobile phone...Now im replying from a computer, i have no problem spelling it out...OK!

Posted by captainsm
Well.. i do send about 800 SMS a month and i still don't wrt lk ths whn i wrt sms t pepl.

@captain

to add:
if your a Filipino (where we are the text capital of the world) we are used to shortening the words. Just like machine steno...we use sound
to spell out the words

ex: late = L + 8 (w/c is eight)
your = ur
you = u
there = der
that = dat

& we often delete the vowels or some consonants

receive = rcv
text = txt
when = wen
--------

we shorten it coz (cause) to make it easy to reply when using a mobile.

That's just sad !

Posted by Jowi
well here, we usually sent around 50 sms a day or 1500 a month...& 1 sms cost us P1 (P53=US$1)...we need to shorten our message to at least 160 characters (w/c is the equivalent of 1 SMS)...coz 1 SMS is very expensive for us...so 1500sms is around US$28

Posted by captainsm
*LOL* in sweden 1500 SMS's would be around USD 200 !!!

Posted by Jowi
so...just forgive us for replying in that sense..."HV A NYS DAY"

Posted by captainsm
Well,

"HV A NYS DAY"

or

"Have a nice day"

It's still less than 160 characters..

Posted by Jowi
I see...but for a Us$200, we could buy a T65 brand new
-------
for a 1500 sms...its equivalent to around 187 airtime minutes
---------
nice chatting w/ you

Posted by captainsm
I know, SMS is insanely expensive here !

airtime is about 60 US cents a minute !

Posted by Jowi
you're Swede right?i like to invite you to our chat forum...look for the Pinoy Chit Chat thread in the Asia Pacific...

Posted by Jowi
our IDD or international distance dialling (its long distance from here to any part/city of the world) is US$0.40...or around P20 per min (our regular airtime is around P8 per min.

Bro, i guess our conversation is a bit off topic...i hope laffen wouldnt get mad...join us the in the Pinoy Chit Chat thread.

Captain, are you serious about the price of a minute being 60cents.... hell, thats a lot... i russia a minute is 9 cents and sms, free incoming and 2 cent outgoing, i get it all with my plan...
in us, i pay 59dollars for 3000 anytime minutes, thats what i have a month, don't know about the sms cause i never send it here, have enough minutes to call people and talk for like half anour, i actually use my cell phone as a home phone... or even more... how could you have such prices, its a rip off...

I was laughing at th post eariier on word shortening,Th entire english language is changing at a fast pace now almost everyone who uses a mobile phone does it,In UK dictionaries are following this trend,ALL school kids do it,And i do it if my sms wont fit i go back & shorten words, th American guy earlier should note that when they took on th use of "English" they shortened th word"COLOUR" to"COLOR" & "NIGHT" to"NITE"... ETE....ETC I thought th importent thing is to be understood so ho cares how yo spel........However i have a small prob, i`ve read & followed all th posts on th MSI bluetooth device & i CANNOT get my t68i to stay cnnected once paired to my laptop (win 98) i may resort to shvn th fckn thg n th fckn bin b4 sttin light 2 it....(love these forums)....from UK

better buy original covers... not those crappy oem ones.

Posted by Shima
Letter "O" in OEM stands for "Original"..
