Apple’s new iPod shuffle, the world’s smallest digital music player, will be available in Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorised Resellers this Friday, November 3. Nearly half the size of the original, the new iPod shuffle is just half a cubic inch in volume, weighs just half an ounce and features a minimal aluminium design with a built-in clip, making it the most wearable iPod ever. The new iPod shuffle contains one gigabyte of flash memory which holds up to 240 songs, and is priced at just £55.

I might be being blind here, but where does the cable go to connect it to your computer ?
Posted by rrojas260
Why would you like to connect it to your computer? I just going to buy it to show off

You clip it into a dock which is also included with the price.

From Apple:
"Stop, dock, and sync
iPod shuffle comes with its very own dock that you connect to your Mac or PC via USB. Then, whenever you feel the need for a quick sync, just drop iPod shuffle into the dock and iTunes gets to work."

the thing is the shuffle is just for those short trips you want a small mp3 player for, my old shuffles were just bunnged in a bag or used at the gym when I wanted them, but my ipod video is taken on planes and in the car (back when I drove) etc
ruddy awsome

I got one from the Apple Store in Birmingham Bull Ring on Saturday. My wife bought me an early Christmas present!
Very pleased with it so far. So small!!! And it holds more than enough tunes for a day or two's listening.
At first I had a couple of USB connectivity problems, but decided to do a Restore on it and found a v1.0.1 software update which seems to have cured it.
Definitely recommended!!

for the people who got these off the apple store?did you get youres engraved?
if so how did it look?
and also what are these like for exercising?
i am thinking of doing abit more excersise than i do now and was wondering how they coped?!?
Posted by scottt
What do you mean for excercising? If your meaning will they skip or anything the answer is no as it aint got a flash drive or any moving parts in fact it uses flash memory like a memorycard in a phone so no skipping whatsoever
Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
didnt get mine engraved, dunow hy just didnt want it done lol.
um they are bitchin for exercising, as scott said they wont skip, but beause they are so light you don't know you have it on you which means it does not rub, nock etc like the previous model, and the belt clip is cool in case you use it on your arm or joggers etc

Got loads of these in Argos! They look so similar to the iPod remote headphones.
iPod nano blues were the most popular this weekend though!
