I have a branded K790 and dont know why the activity menu button is configured to get in the internet and the activity menu opens when I press the joystick up. Could I reconfigure my activity menu button? How? When I get into shortcuts it only let me modify the joystick shortcuts but not the activity button

I you ask me, the only way to do that is an unbranding. If you have a credit card, you can do it yourself. Check out this page:

nothing you can do with the k790, at the moment, but the SEFP plugin for FAR amnager will be compatible soon. I think. (k790 is cid49 innit?) that could be happening any time soon. It's also possible you could get someone in the local flea market or whatever, one that does unlocks etc, to debrand, although it will probably void the warranty, and cost more to do than wotanserver. I don't think that you can de-brand a phone without voiding the warranty, though someone may like to correct me on that matter... hope that helps.

If you have a branded phone, you know already that there is no way to unbrand the phone for free yet you continue to ask. If I recall correctly you stated that you have business customers which implies that you run a biz, yet you have no credit card. Something is not adding up here. The bottom line is that you will need a credit card to use Wotan or you will have to wait for FAR Manager (if it will support your phone) to make the changes you require.

it happens the same to a friend of mine. he has a w810 and the activity menu takes him to internet. i never thought this was due to branding.

@b-chill - If i've read correctly (someone correct me here) it's the
security encryption of the file system (that's the internal operating files
for the phone itself)
Older phones - up to CID36 can be modified using SEFP, however newer
phones running CID49 can't.
As to operator branding - the guys at work all have vodafone branded
810i's and their activity key goes to the vodafone live! pages, mine
being O2 goes to the activity menu !!!

The CID means Customer Identity. SE uses it to code phones they make for other manufacturers. For example:
CID16 = SE
CID29 = SE
CID36 = Newer SE
CID37 = Very new SE
CID17 = LG
CID41 = LG
CID42 = LG
CID27 = Siemens
CID24 = Sharp
......

What theme? Do you mean thread? I am talking about the thread where you were talking about the M600i (or some other phone) and you mentioned that you had some biz customers. Second, as much as you post in this forum you should know that there is no way to "FREE" unbrand a phone but yet and still you ask. Third, if you have a branded phone, you should also know that it will remain branded until you can flash it with a third party application, such as Wotan. Fourth, I did read the topic of this thread, and responded to both of your questions. Maybe you should go back and read my replies.

If I implied that this was your second thread, my mistake however in the M600i thread, you mention that you have some biz customers, so it would be natural to assume that you have a biz. With this being the case, one could rest assured that you also have at least one credit card. Just follows reason. Finally, you have posted here long enough to know that you can not unbrand a branded phone without Wotan or DaVinci, etc....
