once they bought UIQ they declared that they wanted some partners to join them to share some expences. Motorola was the logical partner. Motorola is quite a good brand, in my eyes its the 2nd best.
They now also sayed that they want more partners, i'm not sure if benQ would join them, maby arima can be convinced.
Se is looking to expand its protofolio at the expence of there early fans, quality and inovation.
Working with sagem will give them 1 or 2 extra low end models a year to boost the number of sales slightly.
Their are indeed rumors that SE wants to work with HTC on lauching a WM6 device. I'm not against that, it will give SE experience, knowhow and some extra custumors.
Motorola is doing they same thing, they use their own UI, linux, symbian UIQ and WM
they more you can do, the better something can become.
i hope the new CEO will bring SE back on track, because right now they aint racing, they are stuck in the pitlane.

Hmmm. . . Se has only 1 phone in top 5 against Nokia's 2 in top 3 with the hugely profitable N95 been one of them ! And I thought SE is 'strong' over there.
Posted by goldenface
Well it is the first week in the charts for both the K850i and the W910i so for the K850i to enter the charts at No5 is pretty good.
Posted by hydro-
That is amazing for its first week! How long did it take for the G600 get to number 1?

Don't know but the U600 was there for bloody ages.

pretty low sales for the V8.
strange because its a good device.
LG and motorola doing less good then otherwize.
SE's phones going up and down from week to week, not really steady sales.

their two flagship phones are in top 3, but the rest of them are a bit dissapointing

W910i a flagship? my god, its just another design slider aimed at music. cam is bad, the battery is horrible, the even put in a normal lion battery instead of a li-polymeer.

Camera doesn't make it a flagship.

its soooooo expensive. £269 (i think, for the iphone) plus a £35 (minimum) per month contract for 18 months

iphone, now that phone is overrated
Posted by domipost
I know, and i know it is way to expensive. i was in england this week, and everywhere iPhones (it was great, free internet in all CPWs and 02 shops
But it's sold quite much though
Posted by goldenface
I think they sold something like 11,000 in their first week but I don't have exact figures for the sales.
I expect it will creep into the charts eventually but remember, you need £269 even before you walk in to CPW or O2 to buy one.
Posted by domipost
afaik that 11000 was in the first weekend.
I'd say 11000 in one weekend is quite much for UK only
Posted by goldenface
Yeah, thats right, it was in its first weekend. Its the right time to launch, running up to christmas although there is plenty of good competition around.
