As im sure you'l know good old Schumacher retires from F1 today, so i feel its only right to dedicate a thread to him.

Post your messages here in respect to micheal, who is probaly the best F1 driver ever.

Name: Michael Schumacher

Nickname: Schumi or Schuey
Date of Birth: 3rd January 1969
Nationality: German
Place of Birth: Hürth-Hermülheim, Germany
Height: 1.74m
Weight: 68kg
Residency: Vufflens-le-Château, Switzerland
Status: Married to Corinna Betsch since Tuesday 1st August 1995
Children: Gina-Maria, daughter (DOB 19/01/97) and son Mick (DOB 22/03/99).
Family: Rolf, Father, Elizabeth, Mother and Ralf, Brother (DOB 30/6/75).

His Hobbies...
Soccer, tennis, swimming, skiing.

His Manager...
Michael's manager since 1989 has been Willi Weber. Schumacher was to receive a free drive in his WTS team for three years, Weber in return receives 20% of all income Michael earns from motor races. The initial agreement was to last 10 years, however it was later extended for a further several years.

His Helmet...
Michael explains how his helmet's paint scheme came about:
"From the area of the visor you see the traditional German black-red-gold. I chose the colours years ago with a friend of mine and I changed it only slightly, mostly to include sponsor decals. The blue circle with the white stars on the top was his idea. After joining Ferrari I added the prancing horse on the back. "

Since the European GP in 2000, Michael has raced with a modified helmet design. The blue circle on the top in now painted light red. The white Marlboro stripe around the top is also now red. The change was made to prevent confusion between himself and Barrichello, whose design was confusingly similar.

Yeah he was the best F1 driver ever. And he really deserved 1st position in his last race today.

I am a Renault fan, but i would like to congratulate Michael with all my heart..

Excellent driver indeed, though to be honest i felt Massa thouroughly deserved the victory today, though it would of been nice to see Schumie to win this years championship it being his last and all

he isn't by far the greatest racing driver of all.

you tell em mate.....We Only support British!

I was annoyed at Fischicella because i think he should have let Schumi pass him. I mean he is right behind you, and cutting him off does no good to you. Why not let him go, he will pass you anyway? Whatever..

The Greatest F1 Of All Time? YES no denying it , he truely deserved the championship and the brazil grand prix, even though he didnt get pole he drove his heart out and proved why he is the greatest.

Yes he is, dunno if he can beat Top Gears 'The stig' though

I never liked him and it's because of Ferrari's dominance three years ago that I was turned off F1 racing...I used to love it but it became boring.

Posted by lastikcizme
He used to be kinda greedy and arrogant, but he grew more mature in time. And i believe he proved himself as the best driver.

Posted by thegreatone
imho michael schumacher is the greatest F1 driver his records is unlikely to be beaten he made ferrari what they are today

Posted by Stinger151
yep many people stupidly think michael schumacher is only as good as he was because of ferrari, this is not true he won the championship twice in a row with Benetton and then moved to ferrari who were at this time crap, as soon as he moved their ferrari saw an improvement it still took 4 years to win a championship with ferrari, this is when there dominance started and all because of one brilliant driver, michael schumacher

Thank you Michael Schumacher for being THE BEST racing driver ever, like you have shown yesterday.

Though bad luck grabbed you last race and didn't leave in this one, you made a remarkable performance in the Brazilian GP.

A fer all because of one brilliant driver,Michael is the best in the world, and nobody will ever be like him, has for his records nobody will ever beat them, not even Lewis Hamilton

as you've digged this old post out, heres something to show that he might have 'lost' the great driving skill of years gone by...

Lol saw that on yournews 2day. Micky s is my all time hero. He had a lot of luck getting that many f1 wins and many contraversial ones but he is an ace. He can drive anything really well apart from a van

Who are you thinking of -
Peter Collins, Mike Hawthorn, Stirling Moss, James Hunt, or Jackie Stewart?
They were all good but 5 time Champ Juan Manuel Fangio was absolutely dominant through his era (1950 - 1957) and no-one really thought 5 titles would ever be beaten in the modern era especially after Senna died on 3 titles and Prost retired on 4.
I've seen telemetry data of Schumacher published in a magazine and his left foot braking technique gives him an advantage even over Barichello in the same car as he could brake later and accelerate earlier. The difference was about 0.5s per lap. The way he and the Ferrari team developed and implemented pit strategy is what made his victories look easy; the way he could put in fastest lap after fastest lap while his opponents were pitting and on cold tyres then having a lightning fast in-lap and pitstop allowed him to leapfrog many cars. I once saw him finish in 2nd place despite having only 5th Gear for 1/2 of the race - incredible.

Button is a moron IMO and I'm a big HondaF1 fan. They should have let Williams have him in 2006. Schumacher chewed him up and spat him out on many occasions.
