got an ipod video last week and its broke already, anybody else had a probelm like this? Mine froze, so i did a reset and not i get the 'sad ipod' logo and cant reset or force it onto drive mode! I had a skin on from new but took the skin off now and got 2 BIG scratches on the back and loads scuff so i want to return it anyway!
What do they send you after you return it? mine was a refurb

I've had my ipod video for a few months now with no problems. It does scratch easily on the back though, without even realising it

If you put a screen protector on from new then it will stay pristine, i learnt that the hard way lol!
Just return it, mine was 10 months old and i got it send back and got a brand new one straight away, just the ipod on its own in a box.
But mine was brand new and not a refurb so not sure what they would do with yours really, maybe replace it with another refurb.
This is why a buy brand new.

Refurbs in general still carry a 12 month Guarantee.

im sure someone said they kept fetting a new one so they kept breaking it to renew the warranty it was someone on here too.

Yeah but theirs wasn't a refurb, the procedures maybe different if you buy used. Best thing is to send it off asap. If it is only 2 weeks old then you will still have nearly the full warranty so i wouldn't worry.

Box is dropped off then you put it in and ring the number in the instruction booklet and arrange a time for it to be picked up, postage is already paid. Well it was when i returned a macbook.

They don't do brand new sealed. It will just be a new ipod in a brown box, you get no accessories or retail packaging.

I don't know, but if you have only had it a few weeks what does it matter? They won't give you new accessories i mean why would they it isn't those that have broken they will just swap like for like.
