which part of the phone gives you the impression that it will have DVB-H? the screen that you cannot see, the antenna that you cannot see, or the extra branding logo that you can't see as if cybershot and SE are not enough?
this is interesting.
I think it has an internal antenna for DVB_H. Nokia already have two phones that support DVB-H with internal antenna so I don't think it will be impossible for SE to do the same.

SE should really present a stylish feature-packed phone as soon as possible. LG has just announced a phone with-to-die features. If SE continues to lag behind on high-end phones, LG might catch up. You don't want that to happen especially if you have a big 100 million phones sales target by the end of the year.
I hope SE's a true ultra high-end and stylish phone is just around the corner waiting to be announced. It's the right time to make some noise and be heard.

Here's a fun tidbit: The side of the box for the HBH-DS980 earbuds says "For use with bluetooth equipped devices supporting A2DP such as: Sony Ericsson W880, W610, W660, and W750"
A W750 hasn't been announced yet

If I remember correctly, W750 was the previous code of the W910. You could find it in the press release of this event, too.

Any rumors on when the next announcement might be? Do we have to wait till November or will we see an announcement in September since the Aug 14 announcement was just one phone.

the T650i will be availeble in Black and silver in belgium for my store exclusivly.
we are also getting the S500i in white (yes its the S500i)
and the Z310i in blue.
these should be exclusive for us, if any of you should want one, let me know.

may I ask what your store is?

lets not make it to easy for SE to find me, shall we.

ok.
sorry i didn't think about that

If SE are sending you exclusive black and silver T650s, and yours IS the only store to get them, I'd think they'll already have a rather good idea who/where you are.....

I don't think only Belgium will get an exclusive T650i edition. It may be a limited edition, but if there's a special edition then other countries will get it for sure.

Z310i in blue, S500i in white, and we'll be getting the W610i in another color aswell (but can't afford to tell the color yet).

Well DVB-H has been around the USA in testing for almost 3 yrs now. Remember that Modeo MS Smartphone just 1yr back? It was a the better looking HTC version of Virgin mobile's Lobster DVB-H smartphone. Bah of course you don't remember, it was a trial in NewYork City only.
Here is some information I posted on a sites. Lost of info and my usual LONG post, sorry but helpful. It may even shed some light on this mysterious SE K950? phone?
I'm going to make a new thread based on the following information - just in case others like myself search for N77.

VIDEO FORMAT
H.263 for first part of trial, then H.264 at about 192kbps, 12.5 fps, QPVA, 32kbps AAC audio
INTERACTIVITY PLATFORM
In phase 2, limited experiments with Nokia MBS 3.0 interactivity.
CONDITIONAL ACCESS / DRM TYPE AND PROVIDER
Nokia OMA based system in phase 1, then no CA during phase 2.
HEADEND EQUIPMENT
Nokia IPDC 2.2 in phase 1, then Nokia MBS 3.0 in phase 2.
RECEIVERS
Nokia 7710 for first part of trial, then Nokia N92
^ Anybody notice the S90 device the 7710 used in phase 1 of Australia's trial? It was EDGE based ... guess the subscription part was already tested and modeled.
^ So as you can see DVB-H has come along GREATLY and continues too grow. Anyone else think that the N92/N77 where a useless endeavor for Nokia, hmmm? Considering changing channels happens in a mere 6-7seconds when stopping a video or changing On-Demand videos on a FAT- Coaxial Cable TV (to home) provider that is nationwide takes just about the same and sometimes up to 10seconds then hmm.

Well the only keypadless device that is on the cards now is maybe MOOI, which is billed as the direct competitor to the iPhone.
Remember SE said that any device it produces would have to be a phone first and foremost; they wouldn't do away with the traditional keypad but MOOI might be the exception.
The above device just doesn't fit in. Is there any call for a touchscreen Cyber-shot?

As a loyal SE customer, i'm just really getting disappointed.
While we are here discussing the foolish matters of t650's available colors, light effects of k850, motion sensor of w580,.... AND SE still proud of their k750/k800 super sales and totally behind the 5mpx campaign, Nokia has lunched REAL novelties: GPS phones, REAL gaming phones, REAL music phones with 3.5mm jack......
PLZ
be frank to yourself.
SE is really lagging behind nokia, a real forerunner.
just see: after 400 pages of speculations, they finally came with their top notch K850 which no doubt totally disappointed half the loyal consumers.
I really don't know ,but after each glory there will always be a decline, just as happened recently with Motorola.
it's a real shame my K800 has the same video rec quality as w200!!!!!
and after all they have come out with QVGA 30fps, a great glory!!!
I'm really disappointed......

i agree about the video quality thing..
sort it out se!

happykhan, You're absolutely right, the W800,K750,W900i was a real revolution,
after these, every thing is average.

Why would you think the 5 Mpx are behind? Don't you think it's still too early even for now for a 5 Mpx? Talk about GPS phones, the N95 doesn't even support 3rd party applications, but the P1i and the P990i are gaining their advantage to take on the GPS market. Why would you also think Nokia ALSO brought out the GPS accessories AFTER SE? That's because they now see where's their mistake. Price and options that people could make are by far more important. SE doesn't want to shove GPS into every handset just to increase the price for no reason. It's actually a smart move to make such accessories.
Real gaming phones? What happened to N-Gage? Isn't because what happened that now Nokia has to integrate it into the new handsets? SE does want to make gaming phones, but to split such brands on like Playstation Phone onto the market right now is a huge risk. Don't tell me that we haven't seen any gaming phones from SE(W550i, W600i), and P1i and the new smartphones already has the graphics that could be in between PS1 and PS2(almost PSP). If you don't believe me, try it out yourself.
For music phones, all the higher end music phones from SE already comes with a head phone that has the 3.5mm. If you're saying that all music phones from Nokia comes with a 3.5mm, then where is it on my 5300? I don't see it anywhere.
The word lagging behind in technology is something that shouldn't be used. Its a marketing style that each company has to study and release at the right time(obviously someone didn't learn economics). Coming out first doesn't mean it's better or way in front. They might just make a mistake by just doing so. We all have seen such mistakes(S700i for example, coming with a CCD first actually nearly killed Cybershot market).
Back to the post, about K850i, I think SE released it not on purpose, but because the feedback was more warm welcome than negative. I think we might see some K850i revised edition(may be thinner?). Beca's picture does interest me, any more info on that?

I know I might be a very small minority, but I would like to see SE collaborate with nokia on things like this. Having more than one device manufacturer behind it would give t leverage against the networks who still want to sell the same stuff through their portals.

It's understandable that the users have high expectations of SE products, but we have to change our view now. Right now is not the time for new technologies to be integrated. That is old school. That is when a camera is only VGA or QCIF resolution. Back then we waited for a 1, 2, 3 Mpx camera phones. Now that we have all these choices, but yet we're never satisfied with them. What drives the market isn't new technologies, but its the users themselves. It's not what they want, but what suites them. Think of the new functions that meets up to your expectations(GPS, camera, symbian-apps, etc.) what's the percentage that you think of ALL the users in the world would understand these, or even know about them? I would say less than half, or even quarter of all the users.
P.S. There's no winner in technologies
