Hey guys.
Update coming soon. Just gimme a few minutes (or hours). Will get on it soon.
And stick to topic please. Don't discussed announced phones.
Talk about the rumours - like the upcoming Cyber-shot slider or maybe another Emotional design slider.
Sounds like you have something juicy for us.
Posted by shaliron
@goldenface
I hope I didn't make it sound like something too huge
But there will be something quite nice round the corner.
- A new low end clamshell. 1.3 MP camera, bluetooth, and gesture control (something to do with accelerometer perhaps). A geometric design (criss-crossing lines in the shape of rhombuses), with the camera area intergrated into the geometric design. It'll have a hidden external display and it is part of the emotional design series. Could be Z350. Should be approximately €150.
- Walkman version of the above low end clamshell. Could be W350.
Posted by mustafabay
Is that clamshell supposed to look like that *okia 7500 that's coming soon? With the shapes I mean?
And they are really ponding at the low end clamshell. They should be aiming a little higher too, right?
Posted by shaliron
@mustafabay
Sounds just like that 7500 doesn't it? That's what I thought of.
But I think SE could work a little on a mid range 3G phone with a QVGA screen. Something a little lower than the K810.
Posted by mustafabay
You do mean a K630? Which is the logical index, and I'd love a varient going as a T550 too
Posted by JuanPablo
Good idea. We need a W300 succesor
Posted by Rifqi_Aziz
Oh no.... enough with low-end clamshell. We have Z250 and Z320 already on waiting list for launching.
Why not another slider or candybar?
Posted by teeboy
Is there going to be an announcement on july???
Posted by Yessir
Does the z750 come in any other colors?
Posted by bodeh6
Z750 will come in Black, Pink, Silver, and Purple.
Posted by shaliron
Well I'd still like to see a low end clamshell with expandable memory. The Z550 was a great phone in that respect. So slapping on some
branding would be great for the low end
range.
Posted by domipost
Yeah, new
clamshell would be great. But it don't has to be low end IMO
Posted by Mizzle
I see a fashion phone coming soon. Think T650. Coffee, any one?

its such a nice phone to hold. way better than the luna 8600 IMO
(played with both)
i wonder if they have any more 'emotional' phones up there sleeve...

conventional belief is that a high end phone is harder to make than a mid-tier phone.... but that's not true.

xumdeo, when we'll see those kind of phones (huge Bravia screens), in worlwide
phones? They look so cool Posted by mustafabay
I apreciate how much fun it is for people with info to throw puns and such and have a good laugh, while we helpless others just have to with plucking our beards, which I dod do mind you. So would anyone care to post the text thecoolsa removed?
Coffee sounds nice. But the mere mention of gold star sends shivvers up my spine. You do notice it is half of the current company I like to refer to as Lucky Goat (LG).
Gold and coffee sound like a possibly good blend although I'm not sure.

Amazingly you're pretty close with your "blend". But we're doing this for your own sake. If we spoil it Nokia will just copy
and get up at their level again like they did when people were talking about k750 and k800 - also notice that people were pretty silent with k850.

I think that thecoolsha is right and we should just patiently wait and see what
prepared for us.

On the first page it says there will be a low end clamshell called the z530.......isn't this the z530

Any planned replacement for the recent W880I?
* Have same form factor, different keys.
* EDGE & 3G or 2 phones (EDGE vs 3G)
* Auto Focus on that 2MP CAM or higher came??
Posted by domipost
It has to be Z350, not z530.

Do u guys think se is coming with something big 4 us that we dont know bout?
Posted by shaliron
@batesie
Sounds luxurious
@xumdeo
That SO704 looks nice. I'd like to see some worldwide SE's with that degree of customizability. Imagine the fashion market. It'd be really happy with that many choices of colour and patterns.
@JC08
Well there is the P3/P990 successor which sounds really nice. Eldar said something around the start of next year (either release or announcement).
Posted by makbil
Anyone have any info regarding the P3?
Posted by iqtidar
it will have the flip
Posted by technical-expert
Whats the name of successor of p990i, P3i or P1000.I Think thats the "NEXT BIG THING" from SE to expect.
Posted by Aware
'@batesie

Shaliron, you don't know the half of it....
....but you will, soon.....
....right, back to waiting for P3i(not the best naming convention, lol).....

A two-camera video conferencing phone?
"...One problem is working around the camera modules, which are currently the thickest components in most phones due to the optics. Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and others are working on two-camera video-conferencing phones, adding to the problem..."
Can anybody shed any light on this? Surely they don't mean the videocalling features we already have. This sounds like a device with more than one video-calling camera.

Brilliant.
That article was last year so these devices may have already been in development for a while. Sounds like some very powerful processing is needed for this:
"....which provides a full range of imaging functions, including the support of two SMIA-compliant sensors with resolution of up to 2 M pixels, each capable of running at up to 25 frames per second. ..."
Posted by Mizzle
Yes, it most certainly does need some serious power.
You can say that it's usable for the HSPA-networks and videoconferencing for people who want a large resolution - e.g. live video broadcast for tv stations and such.
The front camera has always been like vga or so and soon we should see it becoming 1.3 mp, 2 mp etc... That's why it takes more space. With the resolution going up, there'll need to be more space/room for light to every pixel.

Are they seriously considering this? I mean looking at how few users use video calling at all I doubt they would consider increasing the video call resolution even for the cyber-shot flagship. Maybe they could put it in a 3G business phone but for the cyber-shot brand the main camera should be the focus. The target should be 5MP K series camera = 5MP cyber-shot digital camera - optical zoom.

Yes video-conferencing is a business tool so I wouldn't expect it in Cyber-shot phones.

Is there any chance to see a slim Cybershot slider phone? There were some rumors about it, I hope it wasn`t canceled.

The real question is when?Few weeks? Few months? Few decades?
Of course that there will be some thin cybershots, but I was hoping for some soon announcement (lets say until the end of this year)
