i've never had a lot of problems with the number of FPS. 15 FPS is fine, its the size that makes a video unbearable to watch on PC/TV. So i hope atleast VGA is in store.

you all took thecoolsha's hint the wrong way, he said that an OLD PHONE had this capability, why would the NEW phone PREMIER FLAGSHIP IMAGING PHONE have the same specs as the old phone ... ? would that serve any purpose in the marketing of the FLAGSHIP CAMERA that this company is going to be selling in the fall?
sometimes you have to read into the statements, with that said i understand A LOT of the individuals here dont speak english as their first language and some of the nuances may be lost.

Maybe Mooi is a slider UIQ smartphone with 2.6 inch LCD screen plus the other known features, isn't it? I hope so. It is the only phone from SE that I think could compete with Iphone.
I wish Sophia have the Nvidia 6600 Chip.

What is the meaning of having VGA or larger resolution and only 15 fps??In this case,you will just see the crap video bigger!!Just imagine how good would be K800i if it recorded @30 fps and it's resolution was 176*144.The quality would be excellent,the video would be just small,nothing else.In this case,you would zoom a littleto make the video larger without problems also!

you dont know what FPS is. Do you know how i know that? Because you think FPS improves video quality where as its got nothing to do with the quality of the video. It merely smooths out the video, instead of a little lagging video, you'll see a smooth video.
Resolution has a direct effect on the quality of video.
Take this example, if i crank up the graphics settings of a good game on a sh** pc, i will get horrible FPS but a very good quality of video.

so dear members, try and read between the lines.
the coolsha, answered the question of Sofia's recording capabilites that the P990 records QVGA 15fps.
a 1 year old phone, which is not a Cybershot branded one, has a QVGA 15 fps.
the phone that many have been waiting, which happen to be the flagship SE of 2007 (and half of 2008 persumably) with 5 mpx, xenon, envolved in a fight against a 5mpx big N competitor, will surely do better than that 15fps QVGA .

actually, if you see a VGA res video at 15FPS, its very very watchable, infact, i dont see any problems with it considering i know i am not watching a DVD

Oh...c'mon guys! That discussion about video recording is getting to be ridiculous. Every part and every member is right! There're several factors that make the recorded movie good.
It's not only fps for a smoother move. There's also the resolution that makes it a lot calmer and sharper to look at on.
@thecoolsha: You're right! There're no more than 25 fps distinguishable for the human eye.
And the bitrate is the result of fps and resolution multiplied

early and mid 2007, we were all angry at SE, not releasing any info about their flagship or any other smash hit model. but know i realize why they did so...
they knew, big N had something under its sleeve, but they were forseeing another competitor, with all the financial terms to turn tables over all cellphones manufacturers: Apple.
the latter one strength lies in the fact, that they have one phone model, so all the concentration would be on that model. and the release is 29th (bonded to AT&T) and we're all (most of us anyways) hyped about it, and having plans to get one..
BUT.....
personally speaking, after i heard/read infos about those upcoming phones, M00I to be exact, i suddenly experienced a critical decrease in my "iphone plans"..
Smartphone-Walkman-8gb-3.2mpx etc....

If you ask me there is no war going on at this moment. N95 sells so good that even Nokia doesnt realize it. In my country there were some surprices regarding N95s price (contract) and people are going nuts about it. Now almost everybody wants to have a N95 but there just doesnt seem to be enough of them. But guess what, that leak makes everyone want a N95 like 10 times more!
I have never owned a nokia "smartphone" before.. but i will surely try a N95. I am also waiting for P1i though. But must admit that i am not sure if P1i will be able to meet the N95`s hype or even a bit of that hype. Surely P1i has TS, nice keys and it is a SE but those arent the things i cant live without. And there is one other factor.. P1`s price; i am realy wondering what that will be.

I was talking about advanced users or a.k.a. advanced users are getting N95 one by one. I havent imagined that as contract free N95 doesnt come cheap. SE is on a good way for getting more of that delicious "share cake". But i dont need that i need a bugfree P1i or P3i

I hoped for better quality video recording in my K790a but it didn't stop me from buying one. I doubt it'll stop you from buying a T650i.
