I guess your rught pablo. But there has been no breakthrough. Most are re housed models and mid ends, excluding p1, and the new t5. However all the specs are similar. We want somthing to compare to nokia.

One is almost certain. SE has to make an announcement very soon to counter
nokias last announcement with the N95. According to my last information the
announcement will be taking place @ 28/29th of may. But there's still the
uncertainty which models are being released. If Sofia will be revealed to us
I guess it will be a lot more sophisticated than recently released nokia cells.
Let's just wait and see...

uhh, ill wait till tuesday, if the page count jumps up more than 2/3 pages in the morning ill know that we got something good ... if not, hey then SE must have an idea of the consternation they have caused their users/supporters.
i personally HOPE that the phone (if its "announced") has an array of impressive features but most of all a SPEEDY interface, and no lag taking pictures (loading camera software).
i think they can do it, and all the testing thats being done since LATE last year they should address these things. no one wants a highend (non smartphone) thats slow. main reason i want to chuck this nice razr out of a car going 90mph ... WORST PHONE EVER!

Now SE is really coming late to the party by delaying Sofia. N95 street prices are starting to fall, they're now 10-12% lower than last month. If SE are really planning to launch Sofia in September I hope it will be priced appropriately (35-40% lower than N95 at that time assuming no GPS and Wi-Fi for Sofia) otherwise it will be a big flop
They might as well give up the high end market if they continue with this new release cycle and the silly 'announcements closer to launch' strategy.
Didn't they learn anything from the PS3 launch, how many people would have held off buying a Xbox 360 in 2005 if they knew that the PS3 was going to be released a year later (even more for Europe). I admit that Sofia is different, its more like the Wii in the sense that its got less features so I hope it will be priced accordingly.

sesukaku I'm not sure if I understand you right,but I personally am not "moaning" about anything.Just say the truth and not blame Sony,Sony is out of business here.I was talking about Ericsson.I don't believe the months of slowing were only due to Philips' recovery problems,its very possible that somebody "financed" Philips to make it slower.But thats just my opinion.About the market share of Nokia - so far nothing smart,but we'll see in the next few months.Please don't be that offensive in your comments.And about the romaji sentence - its simply aggressive.I don't know the particular reason you're saying this,but I believe I hadn't provoked it myself.

go ahead and get the n95 if people are so pissed off, nobody points a gun and forces u to buy SE, and neither can you point a gun and ask SE to release a N95 clone in UIQ right now, that will not and cannot happen as it will take another year, so they'll have to predict what's gonna happen then, cross ur fingers they're gonna get it right.

i'll be happy to see a module comparable to sharp 903's 3.2MP CCD in terms of color reproduction and digital noise level, adding on faster lens plus a xenon flash would be great. and better video recording functions, which doesn't only have to do with the module itself but the whole middleware
but of course, SE doesn't work this way because the market doesn't work this way.

U know people i was thinking......When the picture of the Keypad (alone) of Sofia's was leaked i thought hmmmm why is it detached ?? is it taken before being put together with other parts to make the phone....but a few pages back when that little picture was out which kinda seemed like a UIQ interface i had this thought...is the keypad detachable like the ones on the P series and the phone is actually a touch screen phone ????.....or do u think that the keypad is a flip pad like the ones in the P series and has camera buttons under it (under the keypad) ???
