AFAIK,it would be unnecessary, extra space,extra power,not to mention extra expense. Graphic processors by its nature are parallel (due to graphic algorithms being parallel),and at mobile platforms,performance to power is important.Even the four biggest chip makers cant get 2x performance by combining two chips.IMO it wont be viable.They can do a lot (almost everything!) by just one graphic chip itself.
Thats what i think.

I don't see why SE needs a gaming phone, they already have a PSP. If they make a gaming phone, they might lose sales for the PSP.

I think the W850 is the last to support MS PRO. M2 will be for mobiles from now on I guess. There'd be no real reason to go back. SE would want to consolidate creating a uniform memory type for its portfolio.
And a Feb release or announcement? I'm guessing announcement? Sounds nice.

I think SE might want to cut corners and stick the old
player on the W200. SE always tries to use older platforms on their low end phones and album art on a 128x160 screen for instance is impractical as well.

Well the gaming phone sounds as if it is powerful enough to be a very strong multimedia device and it'll probably cost quite a bit of money when it is released, and the PSP will be cheaper and more gamer friendly; it is a more hardcore gaming experience.
But remember that the gaming phone won't use discs or anything like the PSP, so its games can't be of that much size and as graphically intense as the PSP.
And the gaming phone won't just be a 'PSP phone'.

I will do a photoshop of one of the Gaming-phone concepts from what I've heard. And one of the UI. One thing must be said though.. I've just found out, that the next new UI might not be the one I was talking about in an earlier post.. The phones aren't powerful enough yet, but it will come in the next UI upgrade, if not in this one.
That thing about the dual graphics processors - it's a dualcore graphics card - just like GeForce 7950. well, not as powerful of course

Here's one of the concepts..
Yes, i said ONE of the concepts - there are several concepts, so this doesn't mean, that this concept will be used.
I made it from a W900 with PSP-parts, so that i wont reveal too much.
The screen is slideable, and can be pushed up, revealing a keypad beneath, so you can chat with ur friends while playing games. Also for messages and such, of course.

i don't think that sony would allow se to develop a gaming phone, because it would interrupt the sells of the psp(especially if the graphic quality is as high as stated above)
maybe they work together on the psp2 but i don't think that anything else is happening

You might just keep in mind that PSP can play UMD-movies and such... It has much better graphics than the G-phone.. So i dont really think it's gonna slow down the sales of the PSP.. Perhaps they have got a special deal - 30% of sales go to Sony or something like that...

I read reports that UMD has become a failure for sony and future PSP will only have memory stick as they have become quite fast,higher capacity and cheaper now..so games will now be in MS.I expect the same happening in G series.
What all features can we see in G series phone??multiplayer bluetooth gaming??3G online gaming??

I doubt the memory stick will EVER be the storage for games. The memory stick is for the game saves, photos, music, and videos. Besides, the UMD is probably more cheaper than a memory stick for game making companies.

hey all i just thought i should speak my mind so:
a gaming phone wont affect any psp console selling rate the reason 4 dat is that as much as the prossesor will get better and as much as the graphic card will get better thay wont reach the psp capabilities plus mobile phones has certain size limitaions so if the graphics will be as the psp's the the phone will be even more gigantic than the nokia 9300 comunicator which is the biggest mobile around
to sum up the gaming mobile as im understanding here and jumping to conclusions will be approxemantly w900 size-wize with a limited quality camera which means 1.3 or max 2 (although 2.mp is a bit hard to belive)
it will probably be in a landscape mode or at leased can be turend to a landscape mode with a cool SE UI (which imo is the best looking)
so something like sony's "Mylo" and if its going to be introduced then its in march 5-6 of 2007's GDC (gaming developers conference)
ooow and one last thing can someone atleast confirm or find out any info if there is one in the works?

Looks Good features wont compare to my Z550i tho. Was thinking of witing for this rather than Z550i as it looks great and has cool icons on the front. Features are more for people who want some USEFUL extras without going overboard price wise.

Don't worry too much about made in xxx. I got 'made in Japan' Fuji P&S digicam and Canon P&S APS camera broken without much use. The most important is the QC and even though it is made in China it should follow Japan spec.
Well if the vertu is made in china you may be annoyed for paying that much. But I don't mind paying 10% of vertu price for comparable function of SE made in China. When it broken, I just buy a newer one with better function, capacity, and speed. Not to mention if someone stole your mobile. Anyway you may have to change your phone every 18 months just to keep pace of technology.

Yes, it is a lot, however if it gets launched, then it wont be untill like 2008, and then it'll probably be only a bit more than normal memory.
EDIT: Btw, i'm doing another photoshop of the gaming phone now, showing it's keyboard and slide-function..

Okay, I've created the slide-function photoshop, however it's gonna look a lot better. Didn't have much time, so i just used M600s keyboard and made it wider.
I'm gonna do the Sofia-photoshop soon.
