I have recently upgraded to a K800i on my O2 contract from CPW and am really impressed but I have recently noticed strange whistling sounds coming from the phone especially when using my SE Headset after long use.

I'm using the stock firmware (R1CF001) that came with the phone and wondered a) whats the best (and easiest) way to upgrade the phones firmware and b) will an upgrade solve the sound problem.

regards

Adrian

I've read on various posts here about being able to do a firmware update over the air from SEUS. I cant find the update menu item anywhere on my phone as I mentioned in my first post I'm on O2 from CPW. Have O2 removed this function from my phone? if so how do I get it back.

So I take it you havent upgraded to the lastest firmware? Did you get it from CPW?

I did get it from cpw but havent upgraded yet as the new firmware is not available for o2 customers unless you pay wotan and do is yourself and loose your warrenty.

So even if I download the SEUS software from SE and try and update the phone from my PC (Work PC as I'm a Mac User at home) I'll find that there is no firmware upgrade available from Sony for my K800i on 02?.

O2 phones are unbranded thought arent they? well minimal branding anyway. I think I just had the O2 wallpaper.
