thanks i know how to go this far , but whatever the setings i put the wireless LAN setup i can manage to connect it

which authentication should i use?
and network mode?

If you're using a WEP key for a home WLAN, choose the following settings:

Authentication: OPEN
Network mode: INFRASTRUCTURE
Data Encryption: WEP

Then select the default WEP key # and the WEP key that you've set in your wireless router.
