my mates crashed his motorbike and says The front has beed pushed back approx 1 1/2 inches kinking the frame behind the headstock, is it repairable as he is willing to sell it to me.
If so how much will it cost?

Best bet I would of thought, is to take it too a dealer and ask them.

if the frame is kinked it will be dangerous to ride, even if its all fixed. it is possible to fix it all, the frame will be alot weaker though.

can i do it myself? do u reckon its only about 1 and a half inches? i knew it would be weakened , but buy how much??

Let say if you crash again at the same spot it would most likely destory the whole front.

Is it chassis damage mate?

I wouldn't bother repairing the frame unless it's a particularly rare classic.
Find out the Make / Model / Year of Manufacture / Chassis # / Engine # and price up a replacement frame. Compare that to what the bike is worth in pristine condition on the open market / eBay.

exactly as @car said.
then you can sell your kinked frame too. an experienced welder can cut the kink out and weld a new, strong piece in its place.

ok ive seen the bike with my own eyes, its got a kink underneath the headstock on the frame this has meant that somewhere further down the frame its gone in a bit, its hardily noticable but could be lethal in a crash, also because of this the weel has been pushed in a bit further.

What's the make, model and year? Is there any engine/radiator damage?
