How come I can only use the pics that came originally with the phone but not the pictures i took? does it have to be in particular size and resulotion?

I use pictures that I have downloaded to the phone..large like 400k and one 800k..strange thing is that some times it is not possible to set them as background but if I try several times it usually works in the end..another thing is that the 400k is also set as screen saver but that only appears some times..most of the the times the default, blocks turns up...some bugs to fix I guess

yes. but animated gif will not animated when used as wallpaper

p910i supported gifs as wallpaper fully animated.The p990i can't?

both phones support animated gif as screen saver

tankee 531,could you advise me as to why the gif I used for years as wallpaper on my p910i will not animate on my p990i.I have resized it to suit the new screen dimensions but only the first screen shows as wallpaper.As soon as the screensaver comes on it then animates.Thanks for any help you can give.
