I would like to know that as well, does this mean we can update the software on the watch. Other thing is do the watches have the serial number as on the card anywhere, as I can not find it anywhere on the watch.
Saw this on ebay, the silver watch but in a different box

@volvoman
No, he means that latest firmware update on the P990i not the watch!
I too saw that watch on eBay but it looked a little bit iffy to me. Can't place my finger on it as to why though...
Posted by volvoman
Yes that is what I thought as well. All looks genuine, maybe it was an early release or something. Anyone know if you can use a car charger to charge the watch as well, and if the charger clips can be bought seperatly.
Posted by flizzy
Yes, as frakker said:
The latest firmware upgrade for P990 should make Messaging alerts to work on the watch. Please test and confirm.

please let us know if it does.

It works! Tested today. Pleasant surprise from SE

Can anyone confirm if it works with the Fossil or Abacus versions of the watch (as it now does with the MBW-100) please?

Hi. Watch works perfectly with my K800i but I remember someone saying they got it to work (calls only mind) with the Nokia N93. I've just tried this and nothing. Can anyone shed any light?

After six weeks average usage the battery dropped to 1/4 position and now the BT cannot be turn on anymore. But six weeks! Congratulations SE !
Will a Nokia watch be better? Certainly not.

Just got a reply from SE as to wether I can use the CLA-60 car charger to charge in the car, and the answer is YES, now just need to find a second charger dock to use in the car, anyone know if they will be available.

Hi, I have been using my watch since xmas, the battery only lasts about 5 hours, after this it turns the BT off, then the analog clock stops about 30min later.
I have charged the watch fully each night for the past 2 weeks but still only 5 hours max.
Is this normal? Are you guys keeping your watch connected to the phone all day?
Thanks all
madlan.
Posted by jcwhite_uk
That is not normal. It should last at least one week. I would take it back and get another one.
Posted by flizzy
I can confirm that SMS notifications now works on the watch for W950, after the new firmware upgrade (for W950).
Posted by PeterKay
So with both new firmware updates, the p990i and W950i both work with the watch.
Posted by SUPERezel
Can anyone confirm that the watch will be working with SE m600i?
Posted by SUPERezel
anyone?
Posted by flizzy
Since M600 is UIQ3 (as W950 & P990) it will work fine.
Posted by dgable
Any retail stores selling this yet? Watch shops or carphonewarehouse maybe. I dont have switch or a credit card so its my only option. Im in Manchester so travelling to London to the SE store isnt really an option either.
To all you gadget freaks have you seen the blue & me feature on the Fiat Grande Punto Sporting?.
Its an integrated bluetooth system that displays the callers name in the digital area where you speedo is and with the non uiq SE handsets even asks when you receive a msg do you want the msg read out to you.
Combine the car and the watch and your technology approaching 007's!

Doesn't seem to work very well at all with M600i. Keeps dropping the connection M600i keeps locking up etc. I am very sad
Posted by flizzy
According to other users in this thread it work well with M600, see i.e floatlites test on different phones (page 16 in this thread)

Posted by paulhogden
Also, how do i check to see what firmware version mine is running? I am very new to these things.
Posted by masseur

looks nice but at £200.....................????
Posted by paulhogden
Don't seem to be able to do that as my phoen is "Orange" flavoured and it seems to prohibit the up to date firmware being received. It certainly is not the same one as shown on the previous screen, it is less. Should I have it debrnded and unlocked?
Posted by SUPERezel
I have the MBW-100 and a M600i and no problems at all! Just updated to the newest firmware and it's even better! no more dropping connections
Posted by Jah
Battery life seems very good after the first charge. I have been using my MBW-100 (black) for three weeks. The watch is connected to my P990 for about 10 hours a day 5 days a week and the battery meter says 50% charge left!

Hi,
Got mine, Black Edition, on Monday. I changed to black in the last minute and am very happy as the silver edition probably would be too shiny for me. Very nice piece really !
Concerning the size... it's a nice piece also: big & heavy (like nice women).
To give you an idea it's easily 10 mm thick, 43 mm wide (crown included) and about 60 mm height (without bracelet).
I've got quite large wrists and like big watches but I can imagine that for many people it can quickly look like "Overkill" (Big watch on tiny arm...)
For the rest works great with my K800i and keeps battery charge very well. After 20 hours of use, battery indicator hasn't moved !
Bye

To day's the day.
I am of to th SE store to hand over the cache for a Black edition
I am using my k610i everyday together with the HBH-DS970 and this watch will be a great compliment.
Can anyone clarify which one is the limited edition?
Black or Silver?
/A
Posted by Tonio78370
It seems to be the Black one the limited edition.
Got one of these cards with a number on it with mine...

They are both limited editions, all silver ones semm to be sold, which is why the black is the only one available on SE's web site. You can still pick the silver one up on ebay now and then, but mainly black ones. All come with the credit card serial number, but some of the silver one's I belive came with the HBH-iv835 headset as well, in a special box set.

Hi,
My K800 doesn't like double BT either. I have problems with the hands-free in the car.
If I don't cut my watch, either the audio doesn't connect, looses connexion and I even had a plain lockup off the phone.
It's a pity but I have to do "Either or..."

No. It's to do with BT profiles. Some devices are able to operate as a master device with up to 7 slaves (piconet). Unfortunately, in that setting a phone is a slave not a master.

Has anyone had any luck with nokia connections with this watch ? I've been trying to connect it to a nokia n80 for a while with no luck. It appears to pair correctly but then seems as though there is no connection being kept between the watch and the phone ...
Posted by freackers
is it true the silver one is limited? does anyone have it?
i'm gonna visit singapore in next month, can anyone confirm that there's mbw-100 in silver available there?
thx
Posted by SUPERezel
I also would like to know if the watch will be working with other mobile phones (for example: Nokia, Samsung)
