My K750 just took a fall from the 2nd floor of a building! My friend was sitting near the window and he was holding the mobile in his hand. He moved his hand and the mobile slipped out of his hand and dooowwwn it went on the side of the road. I and my friend went down and the battery was out of the mobile, the memory card was out of the mobile. I thought it was completely damaged.

Any how I put all the pieces together and I tried to turned it on and will u believe my luck it got on!! I was amazed to see this. I have seen other SEs when they even fall a short distance they get damaged but my K750 survived. The battery cover is a bit bent but the mobile works fine.

Phones are surprisingly tough, the K750i does seem to be fairly tough, though susceptible to certain problems, like keypad ones, the microswitch for the camera, etc....

I've just bought one off Ebay that just needed a new keypad putting in (the keypad itself, not the keypad membrane!), and when I had it apart to replace the keypad, noticed it had suffered in the past quite a bit of internal moisture damage! But despite this, it seems to be fully working, no problems that I can see, quite surprising!

man, you are really lucky, not many gadgets resist such a fall!! cheers

Thats bloody amazing. I don't think it was tested to withstand 2nd floor falls? Nothing much else would. Good stuff.

My W800 is also a "veteran" ... I dropped him from my pocket when I was riding my bike, it also fell from my pocket (yes, I know, I shouldn't keep the phone in the pocket anymore) when I was going up in the attic and it has no problems so far ... only a few scratches on the back

wow my k750 feels so creaky sometimes that i have the feeling if i drop it from my pocket it will be in pieces...guess i'm wrong

And the winner is K750\\W800. I think SE phones are very good quality.

There is this one nasty scratch but the phone is OK.

k750i isnt a tough phone i threw it against a laminated wooden flooring and it smashed the screen and bent everything to peices , jsu depends how hard it is thrown !

@shuja - Well the scratches can be remedied by just changing the covers mate . . . glad it's still working.

@jack - So, is the unit still functioning?

To resolve the "fall out of pocket" scenario (usually into the nearest puddle of water) - stick a landyard on it. The £1.25 investment saves ££££'s in the long run but please...........avoid the temptation to purchase that gaudy purple one off that man in the market emblased with the words WORLD STUD! It brings all us other SE users down!

Same here,had the same experience.

My friend dropped his K750i.. it was like a 3 1/2 feet drop but the phone broke into peaces! The housing cracked open and the internal parts of the phone broke away.. and two keys on the keypad stopped working.. it was unrepairable.

I think a crystal case is the best solution! it would have protected the phone from bending etc.. and virtually the crystal case will take the impact not the phone... you can walk away without a scratch
