This new rumour has it that the iPhone is slated to be announced this coming January at the MacWorld Expo.

The new report via ]Think Secret[/url], claims that due to all sorts of technological setbacks, Apple has had to scale back its ambitious plans to redesign the mobile phone from the ground up and will instead use several "off-the-shelf" parts to create the first of a series of two or three new Apple-branded phone models.Rumor has it the soon-to-be-released phone will have a 2.2-inch screen and a 3-megapixel camera aswell as the obvious itunes integration.
As to what the actual design of the phone will be,well lets just say i'll leave that one to your imagination and the countless photoshop images on google like this one below.

apple ipod has already got a big fan club. now it will start eating for the mobile phone market. instead of SE eating of the MP-3market whit walkman phones.
so maby a bit more attention to the walkman line before the phone is introduced could help SE

Yea, the verios slider models beeing Photoshoped are realy nice. If they do come out with a in my mind good phone I might just have to sell my iPod. Then again, rumours like this has been around for I dont know how long, so dont cheer just yet.

Same here i doubt the phone will affect the ipods in any way....ipods will be just that a dedicated music/media machine and the iphone a convergence device for people who like a bit of everything in one easy to use machine.

It will come in a variety of colours just like the ipod mini.

I would agree with axxxr, the Apple phone will no doubt resemble the ipod. Steve Jobs has said that 2007 will be one of Apple's busiest years for new product launches,
think, new Ipod Video (A proper one), new Ipod 6th gen possibly the same as the Ipod Video, iTV video streaming box, possible new ultra portable Mac and of course the phone.

yeah it sounds a lot like IMMOBILE! and is definitely the opposite of being mobile. dont use the word iMobile. put it back to iPhone. or maybe MacPhone. or ApplePhone. or Apple Cellphone. etc. but not iMobile.
